Actually, K & C did make one and Louis has one. There was a thread that had photos but in one of the forum upgrades the photo was lost. Perhaps Louis can send me a couple for posting if he has a chance.

I'll send you a photo of the Sturmovic.:smile2:

Brad,

I just sent you three photos of the Sturmovic. I am about to send you a few photos of some of my versions of the warbirds Larry has been posting. Please post them as well when you get a chance.:smile2:

Not a lot of people have accurate information about early K&C Warbird production. Sometimes even Andy doesn't remember what they made. As far as the Sturmovic is concerned, Gordon remembers making 2-4, at least one of which was weathered by Gordon personally. Mine is not the weathered version. One of these days, Kevin Elliott (Panda1gen) will be feeling better and Volume II of the K&C book (on Warbirds) will be completed and published. Until then, Bill Sager's website is a good resource, and Larry, Brad and myself will try to answer any questions.

Here are photos of the Sturmovic. I have to run so will post the other photos later.

Louis mate,
That is very, very nice. Next Symposium you may have to lock up your Attic from roaming hands of visiting Aussies. ^&grin^&grin Some of your aircraft would look good in certain collections Downunder.:smile2: But I am sure Lawrence has tried already.^&grin
Cheers Howard

No, but Kevin Elliott was seen attempting to leave with the Horsa Glider tucked into his jacket . . . {sm3}{sm4}^&grin Just kidding!

Seriously though, Larry has helped me obtain some of my warbirds, and I have helped Larry, Brad and Hans get some of theirs. Heck, I gave Hans my winter Stuka when he told me his Uncle had flown one. I just connected Larry with a collector who sold him a bunch of warbirds and wood vehicles. If you really want one of my birds, just let me know, I'm sure we can work something out.:wink2:

Most of the K&C warbirds made back between 1989 and 1997 were made in very small numbers (often less than 10, sometimes less than 5 or even only 1-2 [like the 1:32 scale F14 Tomcat or the He-111]). Only very popular planes like the Spitfire, the Hurricane, the ME109, the Fokker DR1, the Stuka, the Corsair and the Zero were made in large numbers (50-100). Andy had 2-3 factories he dealt with in the Philippines, and he would even take custom orders and produce planes that the collector or the collector's family members had flown. I spent a lot of man hours tracking down some of the really rare and obscure ones, and Larry is better at it than I am.

Mario,

Just re-entered this post to see what`s the news and what I beautiful surprise you gave me: your ME-110 took my breath!! Both you and Lawrence have 2 birds I`ve been searching for a long time... Congratulations, its a extraordinary piece! The setting you arranged to picture it is really nice!

Louis,

Speaking of breath losing, I wonder how much air I`ll need when I see those 15 pictures... Thanks for sharing!

Guys, thank you very ,very much,all, Louis,Brad,Howard and PanzerAce1944.
I think wooden warbirds is one of the best things.Complete with soldiers, I can watch hours and hours.Especially at JFK airport or rather Louis airport {sm4}.
I look forward Louis for 15 aircraft and tenks Brad.
Sturmovik is a unique piece is about the only Russian-That's the interesting.
Otherwise, I prefer the British, American and German aircraft.
On the Russian plane is written
,,Do not sleep at whistling, Battle for Leningrad,,or something{sm4}
I look forward to your book(King & Country Warbirds){eek3}
mario:smile2:
p.s.Excuse my English

Your English is really quite good (and in any event is much better than my Czech). Take a look at Volume I of the K&C book on line and you will see some excellent photographs of K&C wood warbirds taken by Kevin Elliott (Panda1gen) who, in my opinion, is the best toy soldier photographer.

Here is a link to Volume I of the King & Country book. Just click on "preview book" and take a look at Kevin Elliott's photographs of the old K&C Warbirds, along with several RAF and other airwar related figures, on an airfield made with K&C wood and papier mache buildings, including an RAF Control Tower and Quonset Hut.

First thanks for sharing photos of your collection Louis.... Well Done !
This without a doubt appears to be a "no holds barred "collection of warbirds. Very impressive. Sharing these photos gives all of us inspiration and ideas to further grow our own collections. This is what a good forum is all about....Discussing.....informing.... Sharing..... ***BRAVO***
