Thanks sharing this interesting information!

That is a very good looking set.
I like the moment that is depicted and the variety of poses, especially the sitting guy checking on his helmet and the officer turned in the saddle.

I have to pull up this approx. 1 year old thread to happily announce that I actually purchased the kit from Mountford Metal Miniatures and was able to comission the painting and assembly to fellow forum member John Firth (beating retreat). This week I did receive the finished set and would like to share some images of it with you. Here is one total view attached to this message and if you would like to see more details please have a look at my "British Empire" thread coming up in the Glossy Toy Soldiers section here on the forum tonight or later in my album.

Thank you, Al,
I am one happy collector tonight, looking at this set.

That set is a beauty Konrad. Neat poses and painting. You have a set now that few will assemble and paint. Mountford makes nice castings. John

Hi Konrad,

John's talent is most remarkable and the figures he paints are incredibly beautiful. Without a doubt, you have received a true work of art. This set must constitute one of the centerpieces of your entire collection. You are truly a very lucky man to own such a set. I am very, very pleased for you!

Thanks for sharing this wonderful set with us!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :) :)

Great set Konrad, looks very nice. Great paint work by John. Congrats to both of you.

Brilliant work !!!!

I just love Artillery (if you hadn't guessed already) and I saw this set in London in June, and spoke to David Love and Alan Caton about it. Seeing it on a base with inserts for the figures, is a great way for a display, as you can still show off the figures without the basr is required.

Well done, John, keep up the great work,

john

That's really really sharp Konrad- love seeing those kits get painted up- they are really spectacular.
