This seems to be shifting from movie lines that we hear people around us saying or hear or read in the media, to our favorite movie lines.
I hear "Lighten up, Francis," relatively frequently (Warren Oates as Sgt Hulka, in Stripes)
Also hear, "May the Force be with you" from [i[Star Wars[/i] pretty frequently.
Now, this might not quite fit the topic, but I use a couple of lines frequently, because they fit a situation.
For example, when I'm faced with a technical problem, and someone is shouting at me to fix it, but it's beyond my knowledge, I like to say, "Hey, I only ride 'em, I dunno what makes 'em work" (Donald Sutherland as Oddball, Kelly's Heroes).
When I have a crew working, and someone complains that someone else's task is easier, I like to throw at him, in my best Quint impression, "Hooper drives the boat, Chief" (Robert Shaw as Quint, Jaws)
Jaws is a great source of lines. We've already had "You're gonna need a bigger boat". But when someone asks if we're allowed to do something, I'll throw out "I can do anything--I'm the Chief of Police". When an attempt to do something fails, it's "Not too good, is it, Chief? Well, nothin's easy the first time". And after a harrowing experience, it's "I'll never put on a life jacket again" (both Quint). Yep, great movie, great source of quotes.
Prost!
