Been a little while since I posted some things so, I thought I would post the latest Bridge dio set for winter either Russian front or elsewhere. The whole lot was scratch built and stands at 60 inches X 13 inches. I have added some winter bits and bobs from K&C to bring it to ''life'' so to speak. One picture of the twin sets side by side. Apologies for the ''as usual'' pants photography.

The two parts but up against each other but, I could not fit them in a picture!!!

Very well done and realistic. If you did butt them together, you could get very impressive shots looking up and down the column from the front and rear.

Very large and very nice Mitch. Nice column of winter vehicles .
One question : Why is there no snow and dirth on the bridge ?
guy:confused:

Guy...

There is no snow on the bridge because when I looked at some pics of bridges from Russia and the west when the snow was melting and beginning to thaw and after heavy foot and road traffic there is very little, if any at all, on them so, in order to see the bridge more I choose not to put snow on the bridge. The bridge is heavily weathered with dirt and frosting which, does not show on the pics as much as it does in person

Mate that is brilliant and the repaints are awesome to mate well done.
The bridge looks good as it is.

Nice one.

And your observations are sound; even with a heavy cover it is dispersed, down etc with heavy traffic unless the temperatures are extremely low, when it is compacted and turns to ice.

Snow ok, but with so much dirt and mud on the road and tracks you're bound to find some mud on the bridge .There are hundreds and hundreds of pics showing mud infested roads and bridges during the thaw in Russia.

Excellent dio. Very very nice work. I like it very much. It must have taken a while to complete the whole scene.

Mitch...you did a great job on your diorama...your scratch built bridge is really nice...very big and really cool...

Thanks for the comments. The dio took about 3 weeks but, that was working a bit here and a bit there. Bridge took about two hours in total. the time is waiting for things to dry and set. This is actually a commission for a collector in the UK. So, is now being packed up and posted next week just thought I would pop a few pics as the collector is not on the forum
