Moving wheels (1 Viewer)

The first photo is my Showcase armored car, which I have repainted in a lighter scheme...Then there is the underside which shows the wheels now being connected to axels. I dremeled holes through the existing wheel assemblies and used some rod metal for axels. Superglued everything in place and wheels now roll...Michael

Seems a simple fix, I wonder why Collectors Showcase haven't bothered to do it

Wow, what an exciting project. How thrilling that the wheels on your AC now turn. I'm going to follow this wonderful example and see if I can do the same to the vehicles in my collection who's wheels don't turn.

Thanks ever so much for illustrating the way forward.

Okay, I admit it. I was pulling your leg just a wee bit.
As a matter of fact I did check, and all the AFV's in my collection have turning wheels. Must be a CS thing. BTW, I do think you made a good job of it :).

Cheers

But it's better when they do ;)

I agree, wheels, turrets, treads, hatches, control surfaces, gear and flaps should move, if possible. If Conte delivers as promised, I would extend that principal to arms, hands and heads.:D In the end, it just makes the item more realistic, which is the whole point of a military minature I would think. Great solution on that armored car BTW.
