just been looking at these figures this morning and thought I would post some pics. An excellent set which adds to the FOB range really well. The Home guard as has been noted bare striking resemblance to figures from one of the best comedies ever produced Dad's Army.

They are just some of the best figures I have seen from King and Country and, they portray an era where the fingers were stuck up to Adolf and the backs against the wall, English spirit came through. As I was looking at them images of the series ran through my mind. Classic lines '' you stupid boy'' ''they don't like it up em'' ''jones I think your going into the realms of fantasy'' to name a few.

They may, in reality, not have stopped the german ground forces (Had they got passed the RAF and RN) but, they had 100% belief in their country and what they were going to do.

I would like to see the remaining platoon called up but, for now these are classics

Are these figures marketed as Dads Army or as Home Guard....I recall you or Jassum having a say reference copyrite on subject of DA....could be wrong ......TomB

marketed as FOB. You are wrong in the fact that it was anything to do with me talking of copyright. Though I would not be surprised if there was copyright attached to the dad's army figures from the BBC or those who created the show

If it was marketed as Dad's Army of if they weren't marketed as Dad's Army but the figures resembled the characters in Dad's Army, it could be an issue.

Think you could be right Brad {sm2}

Think you could be right Brad and wonder if K&C would be happy if the shoe was on the other foot:rolleyes2:

Probably not but I doubt who ever owns the copyright knows or if they did know would care, considering the amount of sales (in real terms, not toy soldier terms) that would be made by K & C.

I would of thought KC would of asked the BBC for permission before making the figures in the first place anyway so can't see it being a problem

Long before I posted (27 March 2013) my writeup and photos of my "Home Guard / Dad's Army" Thread I asked Andy @ K&C if he cared about me making any direct note about the BBC's 1968-1977 Dad's Army TV series relative to his new Home Guard sets. Andy advised me I should write whatever I want in any posting at the Treefrog Forum and that he would not have any problem with it.

Thanks Jag,would appreciate it....the Stag looks really cool...could use it with the Tiger placed oh high ground to illustrate the 3/4 tank and full scale tank theory I have,,,Ta mate...TomB

Cannot ever see the BBC or the dad's army crew ever making figures of Andy!!!!! Mind, I bet a few would dig deep to buy them?????? other than those interested in how to circumnavigate copy write laws to make figures I have so little interest its unbelievable. The figures are excellent and only the manufacturer has to be concerned about the legality behind such issues.

You never know...one day you may see a figure of Andy in a K&C advertising promo......stranger things have happened....cheers TomB

We all know the ARE Dad's Army from the series, as defined by the "CP1" flashes (Croft & Perry). I think the important thing is that they are good detailed models. Well done K&C.
