Museum Quality P47D Thunderbolt (1 Viewer)

I would really like to see the Memorial as well. The display of medals, especially if there is a compelling story behind it, with these models certainly gives them an important sence of purpose.

Louis asked me to post the following photos:

Photo 2: My Uncle Giachinno Amanna's Honorable Discharge & a couple of photos of him in North Africa and Sicily. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. He passed away in March, 2009. In the entire time I knew him, he never once spoke about his service. I think the death of his older brother, my Uncle John, hit him hardest of all.

Photo 3: My Uncle John in his Class "A's". He was a tail gunner in a B17, and was killed in action over Germany.

Photo 4: My Uncle John with his fiancee, right before the war. He left her a widow before they ever had a chance to get married.

Photo 5: My Uncle John or my Uncle Joe in his flight gear on a base in England (not sure which). Both KIA in B17's.

Photo 6: My Uncle John's Purple Heart.
