I received my first CS set yesterday.
Very nicely done!
I will most likely display by itself and call it Budapest Hungary 1944... (unless someone tells my I can't).

That's the problem, lately..There are too many experts telling us that we can't...HELLO, THESE ARE CALLED TOY SOLDIERS...Really nice piece. I have the desert one..Love it. Michael

I have the winter version too Donnie, and it is one of my favorite vehicles in my collection. I like it so much, in fact, that I'm now considering picking up a second one. The figures are outstanding as well. Thanks for sharing a pic of your 1st CS set; it was a fine choice for a first set indeed! Congrats on the acquisition.

Joe

Nice pick for you frist set, call it what ever you like it's yours

I also like C.S. The regular models or damaged versions. I remeber the first set i bought got home opened box looked like somebody put a grenade in it and put cover on. I was going to send it back but decided to use it in a diorama as an ambushed staff car. I guess it was a long ride from california to northern ontario canada. CHEERS.

Honestly mate, if you bought it, you bought the right to call it anything you like.;) These sets are not all required to be used in historical reconstructions; where's the fun of imagination in that?;)

Your right there nothing wrong with what you do with your soldiers & that the same go with the experts who want a correct item for that part of the war
I do think when a company is charging a lot of money for there toy soldiers they should get the history & the marking right for there items , it not hard to do with with the internet
I'm mad for anything on WW2 & buy books ,Toy soldiers & go all over the world looking at WW2 stuff
I find buying a correct markings & paint job tank & reading up on the history very interesting & that what I lke about the hobby :)

Ditto!

I was only kidding with the comment and having a little fun – After all, a 60 year old pretty much does what he wants, when he wants. However, being historically correct is paramount to me - that is why I collect and so I do appreciate the “experts” comments.

Here is a little bit better photo…

Quite right Michael and Bill, Some people take rivets way to seriously! They're bleddin' toys!

Right on both counts there should be room for all. We do what we want with what we own. No one forces us to buy something. Besides I can always repaint it for you.;);) Please notice the ;)s

Brian you are doing some great work and you should be proud of your accomplishments.

Hey guys, why all this anti rivet counter talk, it's getting to be a bit offensive imo

No one is taking the pi$$ out of people that collect Glossy Toys who mostly aren't particular about detail, so why make offensive comments about collectors that prefer the more accurate Matt Model style :(

My point exactly my dear friend. No offense was meant just tired of people gripping when a mistake is made. "Let those among you whom have not sinned cast the first stone." I shall now have to practise what I preach.

Hi KV, I do agree that negative posts can sometimes be a buzz kill, especially on new releases but why let the beliefs of others affect what we are free to decide ourselves.
