I simply love the elephants. I have two in my collection also. every time I see one for sale, i have to stop myself from buying more!

Beautiful pieces. It looks like the figures are depicting from the Ming Dynasty but I've never seen them (in books, movies) riding elephant for transportation or going to war.

Tom...

nice...

you can't go wrong with elephants...^&grin

Mike,
Like my good British friend Clive says you can never have too many camels, I moved the motto to Elephants! You can never have too many! I shudder to think how many I actually have, probably packed more away than I care to admit!

thanks
Tom

ooooh! good news for us! I'll start looking on ebay for them! :)

I have witnessed Tom at a show on his elephant hunts. His skill and dedication are incomparable. I am sure that he could add many more of these to his collection but he does leave some out there for less skilled hunters like myself.

Now you know my tricks though from the Westcoaster, disappear for about an hour, move with stealth through halls, then go for the kill.

Hi Tom

Those elephants are super! You are also correct in saying that you cant have too many. Love my Durbar display because of the many elephants! Thanks for sharing

All kidding aside Tom is a dedicated collector. I mentioned it in a thread right after the Westcoaster so I apologize if it seems like I am repeating myself, but hanging out with Tom at a show is a true collector’s experience. He leaves no stone unturned as he searches for items and his toy soldier knowledge is right up there with the best of them. It is no surprise that his elephant collection is so amazing.

Dave could not agree more! Working on a Beau Geste Durbar now and have a larger Marlborough. Even a Hocker one off!
