This will be the layout of my diorama. I'll build a permanent table for it and will add realistic terraine.

The diorama looks great now without the terrain, it will be awesome wth the terrain.

Fantastic looking George. Thanks for sharing your Crusader collection with us. The new K&C gateway fits in nice with the JG miniature walls and gate.

Donnie, the overall width of the castle/walled city is 56". However, my diorama terrain will extend out past the two end towers a bit on each side.

Thank you so much everyone, for your compliments, which are very much appreciated. I'm having so much fun collecting all of the great crusades-era pieces that are available to us today. It's even more fun putting it all together into one big diorama. I'll keep posting images, as my diorama develops.

Andy,

Thanks for your compliment regarding my use of the K&C gate with the JG walls & towers. I love the red and white edges of the archway. I think it makes for a much more impressive entranceway into the walled city. I'm thinking of eventually adding the K&C stable behind the right wall and another K&C smaller building or two behind the left wall. That will add more depth to the diorama, as well as opportunities for placement of carpets, pottery, or other artifacts, extra people, possibly dogs or chickens, etc. One neat aspect of this sort of thing is that once you get started, you can just keep going and going. I guess you could say I'm now addicted.

George
