My Dad has passed away............... (1 Viewer)

George mate,
So sad to hear that news. Your Dad was a top bloke. He would have made a great Aussie. I can always remember my visits to your Room in Chicago and spending some quality time with Chris chewing the fat about all sorts of problems in the World.
May he Rest In Peace. Condolences from the Land Down Under. Peace Be With You. Howard

Thanks Howard, that means a lot to me, he loved chatting with you at Chicago, he'd always say "He's a good blake" and I'd say "Don't you mean bloke" and he'd say "Yes, that's what I said...............".................:wink2:

George, very sorry to read about the loss of your Father, I'm sure you will always have great memories of your time together.
Thanks, I appreciate it ,the memories will help get me through.............

George, as we spoke about last night, I feel as if I lost a close family member. You dad was a wonderful guy!
My heart is heavy today, but comforted with the joy of knowing him the last 6 years. -Larry

Thanks for the call last night Larry, I really needed that.

Also, thank you and your wife so very much for the flowers you sent; yes, we are your "Westwood Family", that is for sure.

Thanks again for that, it means the world to me.

George,

I am very sorry to read of your loss. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

My father passed on 15 years ago. It seems like a long time ago, but I still miss him.

Raymond.

Thanks Raymond, I have a feeling this will leave a mark forever, something I never get over.

My sincerest condolences George. That's a tough one. Good that he lived a long life and passed with grace.

We all share the same destiny. May you be at peace.

Ned

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, tough for sure. He did live a long life, I had him a long time, maybe that's why it's so painful.

George: We are sorry about your dad passing away. Our condolences and prayers to you and family. I will miss Chris at the shows and I looked forward to visiting with him. Thank You for bringing him to the shows which I enjoyed coffee breaks with him. I missed him coming the last few years. Chris gave me a miniature Boston Badge which I will Cherish. John

Thanks John, my Dad loved swapping stories with you at Chicago, he loved that show.

He'll be wearing a BPD tie pin on Sunday, he'll have it for all eternity now.

Thanks to all of you for taking the time to comment, my family will appreciate being able to read through this thread and seeing how well thought of my Dad is in our little community.

This is a great example of what makes this place so special and what makes our hobby so special as well.

I'll do my best to move forward, I have comfort in knowing that some day, I'll be with my Dad again.

George, I'm so sorry for your loss. Having heard you speak about your father over the years I know you had nothing but admiration and respect for him. I hope one day my son and I will have a bond as strong as you and your father had. My families thoughts and prayers are with you George.
