Thanks for the compliments. On the Saracen, I replaced his arm that held the flag with an arm holding an axe, that I took off of an extra figure of the Saracen who is holding the severed crusader's head. I also repainted his clothing, but I left the original very intricate shield markins just as they were. On the standing man at arms, I replaced his empty dagger sheath with one that is holding a dagger, cut the dagger he was holding out of his hand and then carved and repositioned his hands to be holding the ladder. I didn't do anything to the injured lying man at arms, except add the shield and position him so that he is helping to hold up the falling ladder.

I have a correction to make. On the wounded Saracen holding the axe, I actually did not replace the entire arm. I only sawed off the hand that was holding the flag and then glued on the hand holding the axe, from the Saracen figure that holds the severed crusader's head. I also slightly repositioned the arm. I've done so many arm and hand replacements on so many figures that I forgot exactly what I had done to that particular figure. I have found that Crazy Glue seems to be the best thing for gluing parts onto these figures. You must be sure that bare metal is glued to bare metal, so that the parts will bond well. I sand or file the bare metal parts before gluing them. I fill in cracks with white putty and then sand and paint. If done well, you can't tell that anything has been replaced. On the standing crusader man at arms, I also repositioned the arms a bit, so they would line up properly with the ladder. I had to fill in cracks, using white putty. I still have to sand and paint a few areas on this figure.
