Although I'm not new to the forum, this is my first post and first attempt with a diorama...Sept 24, 1944 - the 506th sPzAbt had just arrived in the Netherlands and is attached to the 9th SS Panzer Division. At a staging area in Arnhem, an unmarked 506th Tiger II with Porsche turret is being loaded and refueled beside a 9th SS SdKfz 251/3 Command vehicle while a SdKfz 251/1 is being serviced up ahead...would appreciate any suggestion for improvement. Alex

You have been hiding too long Alex, this is a great scene from one of my core series. The poor Para's are going to run into this lot shortly. Intelligence never acknowledged this armour was in the drop zone, a disaster waiting to happen. Please continue posting. Robin.

Excellent work. Great fit with the backdrop. That's a hard act to follow for your next diorama.

Thanks for the encouragement, Robin. Market Garden is also one of my main area of interest; I'm currently working on a couple of other dioramas.

Thank you for the compliment. I'm experimenting with green screen background to layer in the backdrop; I'll probably need to blur it a bit when some of the objects in front are out of focus.

I can only say : GREAT FIRST ATTEMPT

Very nice ! Who makes the command half track and figures ?
Regards

Hi Rudi, the command half track is a converted K&C WS131 SdKfz 251/22 Pakwagen (it's still a work in progress); the left figure is a Panzer Major from Del Prado and the radio man is a tank commander from a TCS King Tiger. The original project was to create a 251/9 Stummel but finding/making the cannon parts to scale proved too difficult (for me anyway) to make it look convincing, so I took the easy way out and made the command version for the diorama. -Alex
