I received my first group of First legion Mamluks. Beautiful figures with incredible detail! They're a perfect fit with my King & Country Saracens and Crusaders. Perfect size match. I'll be away from my computer for a week after this submission, so I won't be able to respond for about a week.

They look absolutely good. I should possibly be getting 2 or three later.

The Mamluks are looking good, cheers for the photos.
I was wondering the same re the K&C figur on the stone. Did you 'de-base' him? Looks a neat job.

Simon

I have always believed that a collector can near make up any scene as long as the different TS mfg. would at least try to match up in actual size to each other. It stops all of the mixy-matchy anxiety that keeps some collectors from trying out other sources...Michael

They are just super looking George. The FL figures and the K&C figures seem to go well together. Thanks for sharing . . .

Great choices Andreas. These would also be my choices, because of the shield patterns, beautiful painting. Teutonic knight looks in trouble^&grin...

Thanks for posting,
Paulo

Andreas, thanks for posting these pics, as they really show off the small details. These pics are the next best thing to having them in hand!

Noah

{bravo}} Andreas. Very clear and sharp photos of your new Mamluks fighting your Teutonic Knight. Certainly "eye candy" even for a non-Crusader collector such as myself.

WOW! They look amazing! The detail is incredible, and the shields look to be hand painted. (Can anyone verify this?) . I am very impressed w/ these figures, and the photography is outstanding Andanna. You've done a great job capturing the level of detail in these figures. Congratulations on the exciting additions to your collection. I bet you'll be having a lot of fun w/ these. Any plans to add more figures from the range? Oh, btw, the figure w/ his face covered w/ chain mail is particularly wicked. I just can't get over how detailed the shields are. Thanks for sharing the pics of your new acquisitions.

These are clearly great looking figures (nice dio too !).

Time to place an order....

Yes Matt said the shields are are hand painted. My two Mamluks should arrive tomorrow.

Thanks for the info Jagd.

From the closeup pics I was almost certain they must be hand painted but I really appreciate the confirmation.

Very nice indeed, can I ask where the guy standing on the stone block is from?

The guy standing on the stone block is Saladin's Bodyguard Officer MK028 by King & Country. I believe it has been discontinued. Thank you for your compliment.
