My SAS jeep has arrived from Treefrog.... (1 Viewer)

Got my jeep delivered yesterday after submitting to the ransom payment.

Really nice feel and look to the piece. The packaging (which I was a little worried about with all of the fiddly bits) was first rate and I can't see how Figarti could do more. It passed the UK Customs drop kick test, so 'nuff said.

I'd echo that we just need some more pieces like an LRDG Chevy + something for them to be shooting up.

I received my Jeep and while it's a beautiful model, exquisitely done, it's a little small as Michael said.

That leads me to the next question. The Honeys seem compatible to K and C as does the Tiger so is the Jeep either true 32 or undersized and conversely are the Tigers true 32. If the Tigers are true 32, then is K and C not true 30?

If the Jeep is true 32, then the Honeys and the Tigers must oversized or close to K and C scale.

At any rate, the Jeep is to small for my collection and I will be selling it.

Brad,

Why don't you hold off selling it for a little while. This may be the first of a Figarti LRDG / N. Africa range, in which case you could display them seperately from your K&C collection. Once sold, you may have difficulty picking another up if Figarti produce more in the series.

Size isn't everything Brad :)

It's a nice model and a quality piece.

Actualy i seem to remember a discussion recently that stated the K&C Tiger was on the small side.

The Jeep is only a small vehicle and it's more likely that Figarti have the scale correct and K & C's are wrong ;) :D

It's a nice piece and I agree with you very well done.

I have no idea. K & C has made a few Jeeps and they can't all be wrong.

While the Honeys fit in well with my K & C AK and EA, this one doesn't seem to.

Brad, we have covered this subject before and it has already been established that the K & C Tiger I tank is not large enough to be 1/30 scale as confirmed by measurements and comparisons with the K & C figures. And seeing pictures of the K & C Mark IV, I suspect the same is true there.

You may recall that someone posted that the K & C polystone tanks had shrunk after manufacture and the matter is apparently being addressed in later isues.

Which is apparently why the K & C Tiger I is close in size to the Figarti Tiger, the later being 1/32 scale, as is their Jeep.

Brad,

Don't sell it, TRUST ME! :)

All right, you've convinced me. It's beautifully done. I don't want that to get lost in the mix. You and your team should be commended.

My best to your dad. Hope he comes to Chicago.
