Looks terrific Mike, but don't you think a M4 Sherman Tank would really draw more eyes to your wonderful diorama?

Just kidding, great job.

Mark...
no...
nothing this month...
this is the first and only figure so far...
I don't even remember seeing any prototypes yet...

Wonderful detailed figure. Thanks so much for taking the time to post. Cheers.

As is often the case, seeing the figure in a diorama really makes it come alive.

That horse sure has a mean look in his eye from angle we're viewing him from Mike :smile2:

Steve

A wonderful figure, Mike, against what I believe is one of you marvelous diorama backgrounds.
(Of which I have two!!!)

Did John say what indian tribe, if any, he was using as examples for this series? (Maybe I missed it?)

Larry...
I don't think he did...
but I would assume they are Crow...
he share the same name and pose as the Indian "Paints His Shirt Red" in the movie Jeremiah Johnson.......

Yes I think he is a Crow.

THANK YOU, Gents.
I was mulling ..:rolleyes2: .. whether the Team Miniatures figures might go with this new series WSBP by Jenkins?
I am not a (nitpicker) but I don't want to make distinctly different looking Indian nations mixed.

Larry...

yea...
I think the Crow were in Montana and North Dakota...
not sure what Team Miniatures is making...
they wouldn't go very well with Iroquois or Mohawk...
but they would work with Blackfoot and Kiowa Apache...

I'm pretty sure John intended this guy to be...
"Paints His Shirt Red"...from the movie...
as John named him that also...
he was a Crow in the movie...
you can see the resemblance from the pics...

Mike,

Always liked your rock wall. It Especially goes well with your Crow Chief. I have misplaced the book "Liver Eating Johnson," which the movie is loosely based on. Johnson was described as a big powerful man, who hunted down the Crows, as well as, other tribes. If memory serves me; he served in the Union Army of Colorado and later became a sheriff in California. I believe he is buried in Los Angelas, California.

thanks Steve...
I read the book a few months ago...
so much of it is written in a "Mountain man dialect"...
that I had to re-read some of the passages more than once to understand them...
ex:
bar for bear...
skelped for scalped...
air for are...
kilt for killed...
it was an interesting read though...
very brutal...
some accounts in the book claim he killed over 1,000 Crow...
maybe an exaggeration...

I have been going to get that book but never have.Maybe now's the time.{bravo}}
