Hi fellas,

A few civilians have moved into this little Normandy village; you may recognize at least one prominent figure.

Must say that I'm really enjoying these Normandy facades.

I recognize "Ninette" the girl in front of the café

The famous Detective Hercule Poirot has been commissioned by the French Government to locate 14,000 gold bars stolen from the Banque d'Clermont in France. Poirot suspects an American plot linked to the U.S. 6th Armored Division and follows a renegade squad to a small village in Normandy.

A young woman by the name of Lili Marlène, known as "Ninette" in some circles, has provided the name "Oddball" to the Belgian Detective rumored to be living quite lavishly in the sleepy little town.

He must now determine if his hunch is correct and the whereabouts of the gold bullion.

The lack of colour makes the scene a little threatening. You would think with all that gold floating around, someone could afford colour film at least. Should be an open and shut vault, after all ‘he is better than the Police’{sm4}{sm4} Robin.

Nice shots-id suggest they seal the Swiss border and look for Oddball in his new tiger

Very well done. I see why you like them. Always enjoy your posts.
Thanks much Steve, really appreciate the nice feedback.

Yes, may be able to hear his Tiger playing Lili Marleen from a new hi-fi German sound system (darn, I knew I should have bought Otto's Tiger when it was available).

Just for you, Robin: {sm4}

Looks good!. Now, I don't think it's a big deal but I have never seen a shop named "Fruiterie" in France. Normally it's either "Fruits" or "Fruits et Légumes". I think this may be a French Canadian term...

Perhaps this is part of the mystery... {sm4}

It is French Canadian. In fact Fruiterie 440 is the largest retailer of fruit and vegetables in Quebec

Then this is really becoming an international mystery (French, Belgium and Canada) :wink2:

Part I (épilogue)

The famous Detective Hercule Poirot has been commissioned by the French Government to locate 14,000 gold bars stolen from the Banque d'Clermont in France. Poirot suspects an American plot linked to the U.S. 6th Armored Division and follows a renegade squad to a small village in Normandy.

He must now determine if his hunch is correct and the whereabouts of the gold bullion.

Part II (nouveau)

In speaking with Ninette, she recalled sometime earlier that a covered cargo truck passed through the sleepy little town, a truck she had not seen before. Oddly, the truck passed by a second time as Poirot was leaving the recently opened Pharmacie, both times being directed my an American MP toward the local garage. A strange crate has also been reported by a Nun near the Town's Corner Fountain?
