Well guys, just as you can count on Rob every month with new K&C dispatches, you can count on me starting the early season of the N.f.l., and since most of the teams report to camp next week, why wait until September?? how's your favorite team look this year? what's your picks for the playoffs??

of course I'll take my Ravens this year, hopefully with picking up Stallworth/ Bouldin this off season Flacco will have someone beside Mason to try to go deep, across the middle to, the o -line looks to be solid again, and if R. Rice can duplicate last season as a double threat, were gonna score some points...imagine that, the defense picked up some solid linemen in the draft, and think that the defense will improve under second year d coach, but finishing 3rd in total defense last year, not to shabby.

I think this years playoffs possibilites

A.F.C.
Ravens,Jets,Patriots,Steelers,Broncos,Chargers,Titans,Colts
N.F.C.
Redskins,Cowboys,Saints,Vikings,Packers, 49ers, Cards,Eagles

I'm ready for some real football:):):)...Sammy

Well I am guardedly optimistic about the Redskins major re-direction in the off season. McNabb is a class act and Shanahan is an excellent coach. It appears that they have worked hard to improve the offensive line and we are knee deep in running backs with one great and one up and coming tight end. Wide outs are a bit of a question but Moss is still a threat so if one of the others can step up, the offense may surprise some people. Defense also looks pretty solid but we shall see. It will be hard for them to be worse than last year so perhaps we can win a playoff spot. It would be nice to take it from the Cowboys.;)

I think with Shanahan and Mcnabb the skins will be tough, don't be surprised if they make the playoffs...Sammy

I suspect my Giants are going to stink again. They have a passing game finally, but have lost their running game and defense. Last season they couldn't stop anyone, and couldn't run the ball at all.

Unless they rediscover smash mouth football, I expect them to finish last in the Division.:(

We're still flirting with Brett Favre up here in MN. He'll be in camp...once they break camp.

Um, I'm a Lions fan. Need I say more. It took alot of courage to even say that :D I'm just hoping for 3-4 wins this year.

Nothing wrong with that, I respect your loyalty to your team, they were in the NFC Championship game back in the early 90s vs the Redskins and also, they had one of if not THE greatest running backs of all time, Barry Sanders....................

Don't worry Sahara, I'm a Orioles fan in baseball so know exactly how you feel, least your tigers are playing some decent baseball:)...Sammy

Now did you have to bring that up mate; it is ANOTHER long season.:)

As July draws to a close and the Red Sox do their annual nosedive out of playoff contention, thoughts of training camp leap to the forefront......

Don't think the Patriots are going to be very good this year, their schedule is brutal, they are a very young team now, no pass rush, no corners, no running game, putting too much on Brady like the Colts do with Manning every year.

I think (and you have no idea how much this pains me to say) the Jets, Jets, J-E-T-S, are going to the big dance this year vs either Dallas or the Vikings, with the Jets winning the whole shooting match.

Saying that, I've just lost the will to live...............

T.O. and Ochicho (spelling) what a joke, who would want these two idiots on the same field let alone the same team:eek:...but it serves my team better, as more distractions to the Bengals the better, and they just added all of the distactions they can handle:):)...Sammy

Ah but George, your glory days are not that far in the past yet. Imagine if you were an Orioles fan.;):D

A sad state of affairs really in Baltimore. They were a dominant team in the late 60's, early 70's, were good again in the 80's and 90's, have really fallen on some hard times.

A shame really, they were absolutely loaded as a team when I was a kid....................

Alas, a team, a winning tradition, and the Oriole Way, gone with the wind. Maybe Showalter can do something towards rebuilding the mess. -- Al

All very true. I saw them crush the Yankees at their old stadium the last year it was open but that was a pitiful cry in the night.:(

Finally!!!!!!!!!!! it my be only pre-season but I'm looking forward to tonites Ravens game!!! hope to see Flacco go deep a couple times to our new recievers, and some of the rookies play as well...Sammy

I'm curious to see how Boldin does in Baltimore. If Flacco gets the passing game going and Baltimore can get there CB situation straightened out then I'm predicting a championship for the Ravens.

I know much better than to get excited about pre-season games but after seeing the Skins new looks on both sides of the ball, I AM EXCITED.:D Donovan looked sharp and very much in control, the receivers looked more promising than I was expecting and even Rex looked pretty darn good:eek:. Of course the pre-season is a talent contest but still it was a real treat to see so many points on the board for us. There may be some hope for us this year for a change.:p

They did look good. We all know the real test comes in regular season game #1, though. Optimism rules for right now.:D It would be great to see them competitve again. McNabb and Grossman both looked good enough for my sore eyes. Almost had forgotten what a pass down field looked like. -- Al

I'm looking forward to Saturdays match up between the Skins and my Ravens, a beltway brawl, (preseason brawl :)) didn't get a chance to see the Skins but sounds like they are gonna be tough, my Ravens did ok against Carolina but was hoping for some more offense, hopefully we will open it up a little against the skins...Sammy
