........oh man I gotta stop:eek:

Since the title asks about "REISSUES" versus new models, here are my choices...

1) US M3/M3A1 halftrack personnel carrier. This would represent a reissue of DD09 (an M3). The M3A1 was the most common halftrack in Europe, while the earlier M3 was in Tunisia/Sicily.

2) A reissue of an upgraded DD10, the Dodge WC54 ambulance. To my old eyes this was about the sharpest of the early series of K&C vehicles and was really complimented by the EXCELLENT figures. With the new medical tent by B-A-R/Figarti, the US Army medical figures by Figarti and Honour Bound, we need a new ambulance.

3) DD30, the M7 "Priest" really needs to be reissued in the newer style. The first one was quite nice (except for the solid tracks of the early models), and the gun crew was well done. The M7 is one of those vehicles that went everywhere with everybody. An early M7 could still be found running in Germany in 1945. M7s were used in Africa, Sicily, northern Europe, Italy and late Pacific campaigns.

4) Last, but certainly not least, we can always use more GMC 2 1/2 ton trucks, such as DD39. Another truck could be done as aclosed top cargo version, an open-top artillery prime mover (CCKW-352) or even an air compressor truck with engineer figures.

These are just a few of my thoughts on the reissues.

Hi Binder, a reissued Dodge Ambo with clear windows etc would be terrific, the vehicle on MASH was the best part of the show imo.

I agree that a new much improved Dodge Ambulance with clear windows, and opening rear doors would be a welcome reissue.

Oz, good thread. I'm getting a little 'German' fatigued.....For me re-issues should be...........

bren carrier, NWE and desert, far east 14th Army and anywhere else, even Russia lend lease - possibly variant like wasp. Also modified to Lloyd carrier towing 4.2" mortar, maybe with one set up, and Vickers mg etc etc etc

Sherman - British - 7th Armoured, 11th Armoured, Firefly (slight stretch on the re-issue) and desert and Italy ........and lend lease Russia

Priest 8th Army and British NWE, and US

DD9 as British half track with bren gun like on Bridge too far, plus US version, both NWE and desert/Italy

25 pdr, can't go wrong here, NWE and desert again, 14th Army

pack howitzer with mule train, 14th Army, Italy

Grant 14th Army

Stuart, 30 Corps and 14th Army and 8th Army

Bedford, more NWE desert and 14th Army - plus other Brit trucks

All British infantry (including all four figures for NWE:D - LOL then cried), again, possibly slightly modified e.g. gurkhas, Indian troops, 14th Army, more Aussie and Kiwi troops

All FOB British in late war, early 8th Army and 14th Army

6pdr AT gun with bren carrier - para bren - and in 8th Army

'Ordinary' British jeep 30 Corps, 3rd Inf Division NWE and 8th Army, open and like the BBA jeep, any ambulance etc

Would also like some Italians..........

All the above in Canadian, Polish, Kiwi, Aussie, S African etc markings in any theatre as appropriate. If we get all this lot they will still be outnumbered by all the German stuff! I may have missed some but you can probably catch the drift...........there, I feel better now!:D

Good ideas, and my latest want is some guys applying camo to vehicles.

I have been shopping this list around for a while, lets see if Andy bites. With all the projects we do, we sort of get a sense of what is missing, and preventing the creation of some projects we have had in mind for a while. Alex

Yes a M7 priest is one of the early ones I missed out on and one I would really like to have.Simmo.

Me too,i missed out on this and would love to see another.I have been tempted to buy the original but it must come in at around four-five hundred quid now, pretty steep:(.
