We are pleased to present you with a new series for our Napoleon's Europe range, Famous Mounted Personalities. For this series we have selected some of the most colorful characters of the era, specifically selecting those with extremely detailed and ornate uniforms. We are extremely proud of these figures and the first one, NAP0167 General Edouard Colbert, is now available for pre-order with a ship date of early August 2009. We expect to release about 1 of these figures every few months or so, so stay tuned for more announcements and check our workbench to see images of the sculpts of the next figurse in the series.

Without further adieu, we present you General Edouard Colbert at Waterloo 1815. Note the superbly sculpting rearing horse standing only it's hind legs sprining foward in the charge. No artificial grass supports either, as these highly detract from the aesthetics. Producing pieces such as this is normally reserved for figures costing 3 times as much! We are only producing 150 of each piece in this series of figures. It is probably our finest piece ever.

NAP0167 - General Edouard Colbert - $159.95

Matt-
Let me be the first to say that this is an amazing piece! The dynamic pose of the horse is stunning and I can't say I have seen a pose to rival that anywhere else. You and your staff continue to amaze with the quality of your work.

Also, I am glad to see this figure as part of a specific series. Many of us have been keeping tabs on the mounted figures on the workbench for a while, waiting to see how they would develop. Now, with the announcement of the 'Famous Mounted Personalities', the answer is here.

I do think this series is one that might get some new fans in the door. With the quality of this piece, those who haven't already jumped into the First Legion fold may do so just for something like this. Which I think will lead them back to get some of the regular products. Because once you start collecting First Legion, you can't stop!

As always, keep up the excellent work!

Wow  ,that is one amazing looking piece .
congrats on a superb looking figure .

 Thats a beautiful piece.
Amazing quality for the price.:eek: Now that is a fine mounted figure. Take away three of the white socks and close the mouth and that lovely made horse would look pretty much like my newest fellow, pose and all.:D

Surely this is the shape of many more excellent mounted figures to come. Congratulations Indeed Matt.

Thanks to all for the kind words on Colbert. We've shown this one on our workbench for quite a while and are finally bringing it out - it's been a challenging figure to produce and we couldn't be happier with it. This is just the first of many of these mounted personalities. And, if you look closely at our website "Mounted Personalities" category image, you'll see one of the next ones that we haven't announced yet! (at least unless I did announce it the other night and just don't remember!)

Yes, Matt,
when looking at your website and the "Mounted Personalities" button there is another figure shown, to the back right of Colbert.
Who might that be?
Do you want to tell? :)

Would that be Lord Uxbridge, the commander of the Allied cavalry at Waterloo? This model is showing him before he lost his leg.

I think that is a good assumption. If I remember correctly, I thought that Uxbridge was in habit of wearing the uniform of his old regiment, the 7th Hussars.

Certainly looks like some of the paintings of him I have seen.;) Didn't Matt say some more of these personality figures were useable at Waterloo and beyond?

We do need Wellington and his staff to match Napoleon's !
I agree although I think we need more than one Napoleon or Wellington (and perhaps staff) in poses that permit interaction with subordinates akin to what our good mate UKReb has done with his splendid series here.
