Hi,
This unique handmade diorama will be available in Chicago for pick up - it is over 40 pieces/figures constructed of wood, metal, plaster, etc. Stunning Celebration scene, high detail. Figures are all connoisseur painted Lassett, Rose, etc. Check out the photos - email me if interested, it will be traveling to the Show and can be hand delivered.

I forgot to add - it is signed on the back, I have to look up the name. I bought it from an estate in Texas, it is a nice sized piece. I wish I could keep it all! I estimate it to be made in the 90s. The figures are originals from that era - they were definitely painted in that connoisseur finish and quality wise IMO they have held up, lots of detail. The Band is painted plastic with lots of detail, see the one guy wearing spectacles!

Nice set Tom,

I recognise some of the figures from a wide variety of makers.
I see Historex for the band maker, and Phoenix, Hinchliffe, Ensign and Rose Miniatures figures for many of the metal ones.

It will be interesting to see what comes of you exhibiting this for sale at the show, I'm sure someone will be pleased if they buy it :)

John,
you always know the makers, thank you so much!! I run into a lot of neat items, just can't keep them all!

Indeed. I can see Hinchliffe CS22, the Spanish infantryman sitting on the barrel with the bottle. Valiant Miniatures Brunswick Hussar officer and Rose Miniatures Caron d Hevilley.

There are a couple of Victorian era British officer figures in there as well. I think they are Ensign as mentioned by Obee.

Nice find.

I am guessing that it is 1/32 scale but it could be 25mm. Can you give scale and overall dimensions? It is a great diorama.

These are 54mm or 1/32 scale entire diorama is. Figure it is about 3 plus feet long, by 18/24 inches high. Basically the size of a 'one sheet poster' from the old movies!

I meant to list the price. I am going to put it up for sale for $500 cash price, pickup in Chicago. Runs about $10 per piece, the diorama is free on that basis. Figure that is a fair price. It will also potentially go to a show in Virginia, just have to see if i have room on that one!

I had an auction that wanted to run it, but I don't feel comfortable shipping it, plus to ship it would be cost prohibitive, you would basically have to crate it and probably remove all the figures, which seems not a good idea!

Thanks
Tom
