Napoleonic figures (2 Viewers)

Lots of talk about the KC Russians. Here is a Russian Imperial Guard from a nice set they do with these figures:

Another of the Aeroart Russian Naps - a very nice Cavalier Guard Trumpeter:

Here is an interesting example of a mounted figure posed entirely on the tip of the horses hoof. English Cuirassier:

That Dromedarii officer is fantastic isn't he??? He is on the purchase list for 08- to go with the year of the Romans- you can find him and some of the camel troops as well.

I messed around and missed Hannibal- I gotta think I can still score him somewhere but he was a treasure that I missed.

Now that is spectacular

Another example of the "one hoof" pose. French Trumpeter, 5th Cuirassiers. Really quite an interesting design when you consider that these are heavy figures:

Is this the Hannibal figure that you are looking for? I have this version - note the eye patch.

Doug,

I believe that there is a brass (or similar) rod, which runs up from the base of the figure through the leg and into the body of the horse to give stability, otherwise over a period of time it would succumb to the droop factor.

GRRRR- Yes, that's the one:p I knew I'd wait a little too long to get him- just couldn't afford him at the moment. That eyepatch is awesome, as is the Lionskin.

With Blackhawk doing the Zama range, I wanted to grab him as you just cannot put a Blackhawk Hannibal on the table- you need the St Pete version- I think that picture proves my point.

It's kind of interesting as on the Conte Spartans thread, you can see some legitimate criticisms about ST Pete's figures being unexciting- I think their cavalry figures, as clearly evidenced here, are some of the most exciting cavalry poses out there. Perhaps they will start doing a bit more with the foot soldiers. I like that Landsknecht two man exectution scene as perhaps that is a lead in to more 2 figure sets. I know Grenada does some 2 man sets which are pretty cool.

Any chance they ever did Scipio Africanus?? I would like to snag him up as well sometime.

The old west. A bounty hunter. I can't make out what he has in his right hand.

Interesting looking crusader - stirkes me as more realistic than some of the more fanciful figures:

I haven't heard that before. Here is one showing a bit more "action":

There is a description of what this is but I didn't recognize it (1720). Check out the Andrea website if you need the specifics:
