I have just received the Royal Artillery gun and crew and the wait was worthwhile.
I have just one query for the RA experts. Would the buckets taken on campaign really have been decorated with the royal cypher or would they have been plain?

The Royal Cypher commonly appears on military equipment for artillery in the Georgian period, including priming horns, buckets, headgear and of course, the barrels (tubes) of the guns.

It was just an ornate way to show that it was army "kit". In case it was found being used by a local farmer! :)
