Didn't see another NBA thread, not sure what happened to it, why is there only one page of threads in the Chat Lounge, where did all the rest of them go?

Anyway, decided against my better judgement to watch the Celtics/Cadavers game last night as the Celtics are on a roll and only 5 games behind these frauds.

Celtics were up big early, then the refs took their whistles out, called 900 fouls on the Celtics, LeBron did his usual linebacker in a basketball players impression, constantly driving the lane, throwing elbows and his body into the defender and drawing foul after foul, Cadavers won going away by 17.

And you fellas wonder why I gave up on the NBA five years ago, Cadavers had a 30-13 FT advantage in points and what a coincidence, they won by 17....................NBA basketball is all but dead to me and when Brady and Belichick retire, so will the NFL, will be down to MLB and NHL for pro sports.

The older I get, the less I care.........................

yea George...

I'm pretty excited too...:rolleyes2:...

the Lakers have 12 wins already and are poised to make their playoff run...

very exciting...

I can't wait...

We all know the fix is in, mark it down now, in pen; Cadavers/Warriors in the finals in a rematch from last year.

Can't wait....................ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.....................

The Warriors a pretty exciting team so that will be worth watching. Lebron won't sniff a ring for a long time, maybe never. Wonder how long it is before he leaves and Cav fans burn him in effigy.

Maybe Knicks and Lakers can play for the NBA LC (Losers Cup). Might get more ratings than the Finals.

Maybe they should do what they do in soccer: if you're at the bottom, you get relegated to the league below you; in this case the ABA or Developmental League, whatever it's called nowadays.

That's actually a good point, the Warriors are an exciting team for sure, totally likable, no one on that team that is a toolbag.

It will be fun to see them demolish Cleveland in the finals come to think of it..........................

Speaking of Cleveland, you've got to feel for any sports fan who lives there; the Indians last won a World Series in 1948, that's about a 67 year drought and I don't see it ending anytime soon.

The Browns; wow. They won several NFL Championships, the last one in 1964, that's about 51 years ago. Since then, they've been to five NFL/AFC Championship games and lost them all, had five shots at a trip to the Super Bowl and never made it.

The Cadavers; two trips to the NBA finals, they got steam rolled by the Lakers and lost last year to the Warriors.

There isn't a fan in Cleveland under the age of 60 who can recall that city winning any sort of professional championship.

Unreal, can't think of another city with a history like that.

okay...

so now that the Lakers have knocked off the Warriors today...

they will probably go undefeated the rest of the season...{eek3}

a classic case of looking ahead and taking a bad team for granted...

By win percentage margin (.727 difference between the teams) entering the game,
the result is the biggest upset in NBA history,
according to ESPN Stats & Information.

I caught about 5 seconds of the Lakers-Warriors game and realized I didn't recognize a single player on the Lakers other than Kobe. Great to see Jack still attending the games. The guy is a true fan through the thick and thin. And right now things are really thin.

Martyn...yes...other than some new drafts developing in the future...they have no "marquee names" or faces in the line-up...Hibbert and Metta World Peace are their big names...hahaha...and they are hardly superstars...when Kobe leaves...they will just be a bunch of unknowns...but a better team for it...seems Russell may be their future...or draft someone to build around...one good thing...they will be high up their in the draft this year...again...

Dwight Howard caught using illegal substance during game...

this guy is a joke...
at first...
I was mad when he left the Lakers a few years ago...
but he just clowns too much...
he's an under achiever and a bonafide kook...
30 year old man...
in his defense he utters this profound statement......

"I've been using it for the last five years, I ain't even tripping."

say whatttttttttttt????

All,

The OKC/Spurs series is getting under my skin. That non call in the last seconds of first game has got me fit to be tied...you know the Ginobili push from out of bounds.

Ref was standing right there.

I am still hoping for a Spurs' win but I don't think it matters as the Warriors will probably still win it all.

Unless the Spurs make the comeback of all comebacks, looks like their spurs have jangled for the last time this season.

They made a valiant attempt to get back in the game and were down by 10 or 11 with around 2:30 to go but it stalled after that and OK retained control of the game.

Really sad to see the Spurs dismissed like that, they really looked old...the whole season I thought they had horrible rebounding, never any presence under the rim, someone would shoot a 3 and the whole team was headed back for defense. Hope against hope Durant will be looking for a "Team" atmosphere.
