NBA basketball...................... (2 Viewers)

Sometimes you can't stop Father Time. It's probably time for Duncan and Ginobli and Parker appears to have lost a step; it may not be long for him either.

Durant may not be a bad idea for Spurs as it's a similar atmosphere to OKC but OKC may have a chance of keeping him if they can win it all or get to the final.

I was sad to see the Spurs get knocked out but it saves me the worry of trying to decide who to cheer for had they gone on to play the Warriors.

Besides, as I mentioned before I think everyone else in the league is just cannon fodder for Golden State. They are just too good to lose in a seven game series. I actually doubt anyone will even push them to a game 7.

There are some that may argue it but it seems pretty obvious to me that Curry is this generations Michael Jordon, frankly, the way the guy can score, probably from the parking lot, he may prove even better. Think his long distance shooting may add some longevity to his career.

Ray:

Excellent point regarding his longevity as he was prone to ankle injuries earlier in his career, especially on drives to the basket.

Now he just gets slightly past half court and drains 3's. ^&grin

I will say this for OKC, there 2 bigs, Adams especially were monsters. Did you see Adams pregame warmup? Pushing a coach around the floor like a blocking sled! After the first game, they closed the space under the basket, there was zero drives to the basket out of the half court set and that put tremendous pressure on the Spurs 3 point shooting and they got tight and started missing knowing there was going to be no second shots.
If they can execute this against GS I think they've got a shot.

Gents,

They will all be back...Duncan, GINOBLI! and TP.

OKC definitely had a game plan to stop Curry and it worked. They chased him around the court and constantly hassled him with or without the ball. In order to beat the Warriors you have to be relentless on defense and Donovan clearly had his troops motivated to play that type of smothering defense.

Big game Wednesday night for both teams.

I must be one of the few who think OKC can beat GS. The goal of any visiting team in the first two games of a series is to win one on the opponent's floor. OKC has accomplished this. Winning game 2 would be gravy but not a necessity. For GS, it's a necessity.

Your right relentless defense, curry's great but you can see he's a step slow and can't get to the open shot, even the rediculous catch and shoot shots he was making were about a 10th of a second from being blocked. OKC may be a team of destiny, they've got some rediculous late game calls that change series, you have to be lucky too!
Football, Basketball, Baseball doesn't matter what sport, defense trumps offense in a series.

I also noticed that Donovan employed defenders with long reaches on Curry, such as Kanter. You don't need that extra step if your arms get there before the rest of your body does.

It looks like the Warriors will dodge the OKC bullet. They looked liked their old selves last night.

Only if they win game 6 in OKC. That is by no means a given. If they don't the 73 win season won't have meant much.

They were arguing this today on sports talk radio, one host was saying regardless of how the season ends, it's a huge accomplishment, while the other guy said if they don't win a championship, it's an epic failure.

Sorry, 73 wins is incredible regardless of whether they win the championship or not..........it's like when the Patriots won 16 strait and didn't win the Super Bowl, some view it as an epic failure, others think it's quite an achievement to go undefeated and win 16 strait (or is it "straight"; gee, I always seem to get those two mixed up.......................:rolleyes2:.............sorry Brad, I gotta be me....................^&grin)............

It's an incredible feat but if you don't win the championship, it loses its significance. Moreover, you go down in history as one of the best teams that couldn't win the title. That's not a distinction for which you want to be remembered.

Right now the Patriots and the 54 Indians are warming up a seat for the Warriors. At least the Patriots and the Tribe got to the championship game.

I guess I just believe in the numbers and I doubt that a healthy 73 win team will lose 4 out of 7 to any team.

That was a huge win last night. With that one, I will go out on a limb and say that the Warriors will beat OKC in game 7 and then go on to beat the Cavaliers to win another championship.

Great game between the two "best" teams in the NBA!
Three point scoring and too many turnovers won the game.
Thompson was amazing? I feel badly for Westbrook, he played his heart out
and is one of the best athletes in the NBA.

What a spectacular game that was, caught the fourth quarter after seeing bits and pieces of it at the cookout I was at yesterday; Warriors were down big early came back to take the lead only to lose it again and it looked like they were toast, but they pulled it out, should be a great game 7.............

OKC is not going to beat Warriors a second time at home so series is probably over. The Warriors pulled themselves off the floor last night to escape ignominy.

OKC regularly gave up late leads during many regular season games. Game 6 and indeed this series seem to be a continuation of that trend. With that pattern firmly in place I am confident now more than ever that the Warriors will win game 7.
