Great game last night with the Celts and Bulls. Gordon looks like the new Jordan. Go Lakers!

Celts put a major beat down on the Bulls tonight. Injuries are mounting though. Always tough to repeat. The Lakers are looking soft on D. They probably cruise through Utah.

Good thing I have the Wings because the Pistons look bad.

The Lakers seem to be falling into the pattern from last year. Play lights out for one quarter, build a huge lead, then go into a daze. Get outrebounded and go soft on D. Kobe starts settling for jump shots. Gasol is a finesse guy who plays tight in big games. He looks dumbfounded in a physical game. They are good enough to slide through the west, but a tough Cavs or Celts team will give them fits.

BTW- I have never seen a sport where the home court advantage is such a huge factor. It is unreal how differently NBA teams play at home and on the road.

"HOME COURT" is everything in sports, especially basketball.

The oddsmakers usually add a 4 1/2 point advantage to the line, for the home team in basketball.

You had to love the Lakers tonight. Kobe was spot on the first quarter and throughout for 38 points in 39 minutes tonight. Utah is toast come Monday night.

I don't think Boston is a legitimate threat with Garnett out and Odoms (15 rebounds) is physical enough to make up for Gasol (10 rebounds).

I do worry about the Cavs though, Lebron has his head screwed on right for the playoffs and they are playing dominantly.

That's what everybody wants, Lakers versus Cavs.

Yes, Kobe had a huge game. He is in a tough spot though - pass too much and they criticize him for not being more assertive. Shoot too much and he is not getting other guys involved. They should cruise through the west into the finals. They got whipped by the Celts last year so I'm hoping for a rematch. Odom is the most improved Laker so far. Hopefully Bynum will get it going and add some toughness.

The Celts and Bulls are having quite a series. Some amazing clutch shots yesterday by R. Allen and Ben Gordon.

I'm really surprised Chicago is giving Boston such fits, even without Garnett, I thought Boston would roll over them. All the playoff experience Boston has just doesn't seem to be helping.

I had Boston +3 1/2 yesterday and squeeked out a winner in OT, so I'm still happy.

I think the surprise series is Orlando and Philly.

I really thought Howard would dominate this series, but they have struggled and are knotted at 2 and 2.

I can't believe Turkoglu was the only guy to touch the ball tied 81-81 with 16 seconds left, but he nailed that 3 pointer for the win.

I was sure they were going to go the the paint with Howard. I guess that's why I'm not an NBA coach, lol.

Cleveland clinched with ease, I think Lebron has a great mind set for the playoffs and is just not playing around.

I hope the Lakers wrap it up tonight so they can get a little rest. Bynum needs some time to improve his timing.

I don't see much hope for the winners of Denver/New Orleans or Atlanta/Miami series.

San Antonio looks lost without Ginobli and an aging Duncan. Poor Parker, he's going to need a major Jacuzzi soaking and a full body rub from Eva after Dallas knocks them off, lol.

Houstons still looking good, they are really playing with a high level of intensity.

Still, everybody wants to Lebron/Kobe.

I really think the Lakers are more talented than the Cavs, but they seem lethargic right now, blowing big leads and struggling at times.

I'm a major Laker fan, I hope they gel quickly.

Michael

PS...Enjoy the games tonight. I got bowling league but will be home in time to watch the Lakers clinch, I hope, lol.

Lakers are -12 1/2 ponts tonight, man that's a lot to lay.

Another great game in the Celts/Bulls series. Paul Pierce was clutch. Brad Miller choked big time. He was looking for the locker room instead of tying the game after getting hit in the mouth. Weak. I think the Bulls take this to game seven, but the Celts win it.

:p I read the title at first glance as "NRA Playoffs" and was thinking "what the heck is that about?!!!"

Doug,

What a series huh?:cool::cool::cool:

Another OT game!!!

Pierce just stole the show with those clutch shots and Miller just choked up, no relation:D:D:D.

I felt bad for him, he's really a good free throw shooter.

Great series though, Boston stole game 5.

Yea, I too like Chicago Thursday at home, but Boston in seven.

How about that Denver/New Orleans game the night before, :D:D:D,
121-63, lol,

The guy on ESPN said if you had the Hornets +57 points, lol, YOU LOST!

I think Denver is gonna "slam the door shut" tonight at home.

Were you surprised that Dallas squashed San Antonio so quickly?

They really miss Ginobli.

Michael

San Antonio is a well coached team with a lot of playoff experience. So I am a little surprised they are getting taken to the woodshed. Injuries and age seem to be catching up with them and a high-octane team like Dallas is exposing them. BTW: Atlanta-Miami is one boring series.

At/Mia is like a hockey game tonight.

Very physical, lol

Michael

Okay Doug,

Looks like

OVERTIME AGAIN!

I got the Celts +3 tonight.

I need a winner to pay for the Jacobites, lol.:D:D:D

Michael

Another great game in OT. This is like a heavyweight boxing match. Ray Allen is unbelievable. Gordon looks injured and tired. Not a good sign for the Bulls. Nice to see Miller redeem himself a bit.

Yea, Doug, this has been a great series.

Best of the playoffs for sure.

Fans got there money's worth tonight.

I had the Celtics +3 tonight, lol, I won by one point.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

For a second, I thought I saw the Boston leprechun on the backboard, lol.

I think the Celts will bring it strong Saturday and win handily.

We'll see, should be a good one.

I can't believe there were so many clutch plays on both sides last night and in this entire series. Can't remember a better playoff series in recent memory. It is like watching Ali-Frazer pound each other round after round. My guess is Chicago may come out flat in game seven and get bounced. Gordon looks injured. Some long minutes, though, for the Celts. They did look a bit tired toward the end. That might be a hopeful sign for the Bulls.

This has been an epic series to say the least. And I know injuries are a part of the game, blah, blah, blah, but if the Celtics had KG, this thing was over in 5. He is THE best player on the Celtics, man do they miss him in the paint, especially from the defensive side of things.

That said, they should take care of business at home Saturday and Orlando doesn't scare me, but it will be a massacre vs King James and the Cadavers in the Eastern Conference Finals................
