NBA Playoffs (2 Viewers)

With the possible exception of Dan Snyder, Mark Cuban is the most annoying owner in all sports. On the upside, though, he is living proof that you don't have to be particularly bright to make a lot of money.

An owner should be heard and not seen, this moron sits in the stands yelling at the refs like some yahoo, beyond annoying.

If the scenario I put forth plays out, I won't watch .00000000002 seconds of the finals.............

Come on George! Just like a forum thread comparing company A to company B, it'll be a train wreck that you keep getting drawn back into. You won't be able to help yourself.

Sorry Pete, the Heat represent evereything wrong with sports and Cuban is beyond annoying, I hope that scenario for the finals does not play out............

"Just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in." Can't pass up an opportunity for a Godfather quote.

The Celts, Spurs and Lakers are all gone by the second round. I can't remember the last time one of those teams didn't make the finals or even win it all. A new era. Some great games between OK City and Memphis. I'm also surprised how well the Hawks look against Chicago. They probably don't win the series but have a nice team. Most of their players I've never even heard of before.

the NBA puts so much emphasis on the 'bigtime' teams (Lakers, Celts, Heat)...that it's easy to forget that other teams even exist (like the Tomberwolves...wait...maybe they DON'T exist!).

So next Christmas Day are we going to see a Chicago-OKC matchup?? Nah, back to the Heat/Celts/Lakers!

The Heat got spanked last night. Interesting to see if things fall apart on them. Chicago looks more physical and that's something they bring every night. I'm going with Chicago in six. Dallas and OK City will be a good series. Dallas shot the lights out against the Lakers, but they have been waiting for a week. I'll say Dallas in five. This might be the Mavs year to win it all.

I would like to see Chicago and Dallas...I think OK City will go down easier than Miami...but still they have been a surprising team...I really hope Chicago can pull this off...Game 2 will be a very big game...

I lost interest in Lebron after the way he marketed and handled his trade to Miami...that coupled with his poor sportsmanship after getting eliminated from the playoffs last year...I was very happy when Cleveland beat Miami in the regular season by 12 in late March...with only 19 wins...that made the Cleveland fans very happy...

The Mavs are red hot. Dirk is unstoppable and their bench play is out of this world. If they keep it up, no one will beat them. A real surprise since many of the players on this team are veterans who have always come up short in years past.

OK's effort last night probably would have beaten any given team in the NBA on any night...except the red hot Mavs...

Ugh - Miami returned the spanking last night. 1-1 and going to alligator country. It amazes me how NBA teams bring it some nights and take others off. Maybe it's impossible to play at a high energy level over the entire season and playoffs. Still going with Chicago and Dallas though.

Lebron personally put that game away with two minutes left...I didn't look at the box score...and I may be wrong...but did Boozer and Rose score much...they both seemd ineffective and quiet...

hope the Mavs cover tonight...-5 1/2...

Big come from behind win by the Mavs. Dirk and company look unbeatable. This series is over. The scary thing is that OK City has played well. A little inexperience down the stretch though when things got tight.

The Mavs are going to win it all. They are playing lights out. I almost hope now they get Miami to pay them back for '06 when they were up 2-0 and lost the series. Some great basketball in the OK series. Miami/Chicago is ugly with the Bulls choking big time. I thought they might take it to Miami, but they look scared and inexperienced. The Bulls win at home and Miami closes it out in game 6.

Huge game tonight for the Mavs. I can't see the Mavs winning all three at home. So they need this one to go back to Miami up 3-2 instead of down 3-2. The Heat played lock down defense and pushed Dirk around on the boards in game one. Big offensive rebounding advantage for the Heat.

Dallas is always in the game with their shooting...they also have a habit of hanging around to the end and the closing well...while the early knock on Miama was that they didn't close well...Dallas could take all 3 at home...but Miami is a great road team though...

I was born in Dallas...I would like to see them win...Cuban has been extremely quiet...

Tough way for Miami to lose - up 15 at home. That may get in their head. And the Mavs are tough to beat at home. I think they take 2 of 3 in Dallas and go back 3-2. But can they win another in Miami? Will Miami choke up if this goes 7? Lots of pressure on Miami to win it all.

If you believe in history repeating itself...the newscaster on ESPN said today...that since they went to the 2-3-2 playoff format...all 11 series have been won by the winner of Game 3...

Dallas and Miami have very similar records...total wins/loss records and total home/road records...

Dallas could close it in 5...the mayor of Cleveland would declare it a city holiday...^&grin

I can't see Dallas winning four in a row. They may win the series, but it's going back to Miami.
