My favorite Russian painter Denis S. did me right! I asked him to use the only German Shepherd sculpts I could find and paint them from my 40 years worth of Sheps pictures. He did outstanding, of course, the sculpts are the same, BUT the coloring is so accurate it is truly talent. This of course is a personal piece for me, but thought I would share. Photo lighting is not great, but long story, Brutus has a nice black face, white chest and the rest are spot on with Duke being sable color.

Stay....Good boys stay! Very cool idea.

Thanks, with us not getting any more for quite some time, it is a nice reminder. They were all integral parts of life and family at some point. When I can spend more time at home, I intend on another one, although I do love bulldogs too and I might just have to get one and name him Winston.

This great Tom, growing up I had a German Shepherd named Duke....well done!

Thanks to you both, it sits on my desk during the remote working conditions I am now under! Funny thing, the sculpt is such an iconic German Shepherd pose and I didnt even realize it until I was looking through photos and I probably have each one of them at one time or another in that pose!
