Brian,
Nice additions to the Dietz Collection! Martinis & Tanks I say! How far away is Paul from you?

Paul's shop is about 90 miles from my home (Chicago to Milwuakee). It is a fast drive on the tollway (I-294). I like to make the trip up there about 4 or 5 times a year, plus he brings LL to the Chicago show and the TS at Cantigney Park. I am very lucky to be so close to the only distributor of LL in the states.:D

Plus Paul is a great guy to deal with.

Nice purchases Brian and a welcome addition to your mission station although I don't think Mr. Witt will allow that tank to be parked in his storehouse

Can I ask what a mounted and foot figure from little legion costs roughly??

Cheers

Scott

My order for LL arrived today.:D

I had Mike paint a special order for me, three Mounted Infantry figures, two kneeling and one horse handler. The other item is Z-27, A Hard Fought Engagement, this was the last wagon set I needed for LL. The other part of the order has not arrived yet.

Brian,
If I can ask a personal question...How long did the order take from placement to receiving? Worth waiting for regardless, as you know I've spent a lot of time down by the mailbox...waiting;) great additions to the Dietz Collection!
Mike

Wonderful figures and great seeing them on display. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your order. With these special order figures do you email Mike directly or do you order through Paul? I assume he also has more to offer than what he currently has on his website?

The order took about a month and half to arrive. Not bad as the Mounted Infantry was a special order. This is what is great about Mike at LL, how he is able to paint special orders for us collectors. Mike was able to ship the wagon set immediately as he had it in stock. The other part of the order is just about done and should be shipped soon.

I asked Mike if a Rocket Battery is planned. No repsonse yet.

Brian

I have mostly ordered via Paul Hermann in the past, and he usually gets 4 big shipments per year from LL. I have requested certain paint modifications this way as well without any trouble. I think LL's catalog is actually pretty massive, but only the AZW section is even close to being completely reprsented on the website. There is a hard copy of the entire catalog available directly from Mike for a small fee I think. Perhaps somebody with the right skills could volunteer to help keep the website up to date.

Nice add ons here btw, Brian. I really like the horse handler. Are the horses still in the mail?

Expecting a small parcel from LL any day now myself and spotted a couple of things in some of Mestell's recent photos that I've since spoken for as well so when these all arrive I will post some photos here.

I did not order any extra horses this time, as I have the Carbineer Horse Handler set and numerous horses already, so I did not order anymore horses this time. I am waiting for the Rorkes Drift Bldg. set. I also rec'd the 2009 catalog, although, I have not had a chance to go through it as of yet. I too am awaiting the LL shipment to Paul's shop, it give me an excuse to drive to Milwaukee, as if I needed one. I have also placed special orders through Paul in the past. I have gotten about 99% of my LL through Paul.

I look forward to seeing you LL figures when they arrive.

I just got on his site and asked for something really special and dear to my heart, being an AZW historian first before collecting TS! I hope he can do it!

A month a a half is fantastic. I'm still waiting for my Sept. Fleurbaix order.:(

i wish mike at ll would expand his website to show pictures of all his sets. trophy of texas did this and as i like to complete everything i really went IN FULL GO. I THINK MIKE COULD REALLY EXPAND HIS SALES IF WE NEW WHAT WAS AVAILABLE.

I just rec'd the Rorkes Drift Building Set from LL. It is better than I thought. :D The figures on the roof are unique to this set. It goes well with the Hospital set.

Looks very nice Brian. Are these building sets modular? I know these are up on the LL website, but admit I have not looked closely enough at them.

The two sets that I have are seperate (Hospital and Rorkes Drift). They do not join together to make one building.

Very nice additions to your collection Brian and got a hunch it didn't take you very long to set it up and play with it.....The Lt.

You are right on that. I am mixing and matching other pieces to see how they look with it. The inside works well as a storage area so far.

I agree with Joe, they look really good Brian:cool:

I'm going to have a close look at the LL Camel Corps figures at the London Show next month;)

Cheers
