Yes, they do look good and i would be interested to know what you think as well.

They look great mate whats your opinion on them ??

Wayne, I must say I'm very very happy with both tanks. I think the Africa one may take it, but both are very well done. Will need to get a hold of Brian, the kill rings on the Wittmann is upside down. :(

Thanks mate hope ya rings get sorted not good.

definitely would agree that aesthetically, at least, the desert tiger looks the better. The wittmann I don't like how it looks like its white washed over grey in terms of the wash looking darker than it would on a yellow based Tiger?? but, has very bold yellow lines around the whole tank?? having the kill rings upside down and, with the aligned mark not in line and, on the upper side of the barrel!!!... well, lets just hope Brian gets it sorted for you ASAP

I am glad that you like them this time around they are not for me.

Yes I think the desert Tiger look better too but I like the winter tank commander. I agree with Mitch the yellow line around the turret in winter tank look very distracting to me.

I agree the commander and pose are very good. it reminds me of the many pics of Max Wunsche of the LAH

Looks like the grey tank destroyed a lot of enemy tanks! {sm3}

Very nice OTK. I've been seriously looking at the Afrikakorps version since news of the release. This is the one that is limited to 100? I'm loving the color and the bright bold lettering. Any Afrikakorps palm insignia? I really like the figures as well, esp. the one in the turret. Overall, a very nice vehicle with some nice detailing.

Hey Outlaw, yes this is 1 of the limited of 100, no Afrikakorps palm insignia witch is strange :confused:. I would pick one up while you still can.

I just picked up the AK version... only complaint that I have is that the closed hatch pieces do not match the tank very well so I was forced to use the 3 open hatch versions. The closed hatch versions are much lighter than the vehicle itself and look odd.

I was curious if the box should have come with a numbered COA since the run in is only 100 units... there was not one in my box as I was a bit surprised.

I am curious if the turret somehow locks in or merely sits on top of the vehicle.

In addition, is the main figure (pictured in the turret) a complete figure that can sit outside of the tank or just a 1/2 body (top only)?

Turret locks in if I remember correctly. At least it is keyed in. It is a 3/4 figure. It is a magnificent tank I have one on hold for me at the shop. I have been told they are selling quite well. Brian told me he Thought the weathering on the AK tank was the best.

Not that strange. The palm insignia applies to Deutsches Afrika-Korps (DAK). The Tigers were never subordinated to that unit. They were attached to 10.Panzer-Division which was subordinate to 5. Panzerarmee. DAK was subordinate to Deutsch-Italienische Panzerarmee.

Thanks for the info - that's good to know.

It is a 3/4 figure.
I'd call that a half soldier. So no legs?
