I would hope that the German's uniform will be corrected before production. As a SS uniform, there should be NO eagle over the right brest pocket. The SS uniform jacket eagle was always on the left arm. Of course, the collar patches could be changed instead, but then the Totenkopf on the hat has to be dealt with. Just get rid of the brest eagle. -- Al

Outstanding sculpting and painting of figures. Concur on the correct placement of the Waffen-SS eagle being on the left arm. Cite US Army TM-E-30-451 Handbook on German Military Forces, or any of Bender's books on the subject. Even more importantly, the Denison smock was as much de rigeur to the para's uniform as the red (maroon) beret. Both "ARE" (and have been since their inception) an integral representation and symbolic of the Parachute Regiment of the British Army!

Thing is TG have said the smocks will turn up but, the poses he has created are of para's without them in their lighter blouses and shirts which, are a great departure from every para wearing the smock

Despite the uniforms, (eagle, wrong location and the lack of the jump smock) these are really creative pieces. The MP searching the SS officer is really a neat set. -- Al

How about the fact the the cap and breast Eagles look to be of Army pattern, is he supposed to be Army or Waffen SS  looks to be a combo of both . I do like the set very creative , hope they can figure out these fubars before release . Regards Gebhard

I cannot count the amount of times I have seen this on other makers sets and no comments wrong colour piping on figures or SS with both panzer pink and silver piping and no comments.

Have to say, great individuality in the overall poses and sure TG will listen to his collectors

OK, I stand corrected. The word "always" is incorrect in regards to the eagle on the left arm. I have photographic evidence that shows an SS officer with an Army style eagle on the right brest of his uniform jacket. He is on detached service to the army, for training. Unable to say how widespread this was and whether it actually took place in the field but the left arm eagle is an SS uniform regulation that is a identifying uniform factor. Earlier in this thread, a question was asked about the eagle style, SS vs Army. The two styles are distinct but crossover was not uncommon. Because of shortages, SS personel quite often wore Army style eagles, but in the correct SS uniform locations. Army wearing SS eagles is much less common. The SS eagle style is a good identifying factor, but one cannot rule out the Army eagle on SS troops. -- Al

Were talking Ts's here , If we look hard enough we can find a photo of any kind of exception to the regulation to justify the point we want to make . I'm sure the sculptor is (or should be ) basing their figure on the rule not the exception . I let a lot of things go and try not to get too picky as long as its not too far off or just a total fabrication to cash in . I think TG do a pretty good job for the price . regards Gebhard
