I've just got an email in from Matiland Toy Soldier Shoppe in Canada and there is an image of the new Guards Camel Corps figures.

Steve Hare of Tradition told me of thier impending release last month when he indicated the next release was the new 24th Foot figures, but these are not yet shown on the Tradition website.

I think they look like they will fit in very nicely with other gloss Sudan Campaign figures.

Thanks very much for bringing this new release from Tradition of London to our attention.

This is a very handsome trio of the Heavy Camel Corps Regiment.

Kind Regards, Raymond.:)

John,
This is good news for us 19th Century foogies! These guys resemble a little Trophy, Imperial (faces) and Steadfast. They will fit in nicely with any gloss collection!

Good call Mike, the camels have a look of the old Britains hollowcast to them as well.

These new camel corps figures are now listed on Tradition's website http://www.traditionoflondon.com/

Bad news is that they have raised the cost of all thier figures on the 1st Jan :(

Toy soldier foot castings are now £ 6.95, mounted £ 14.95 , while model figures have gone up to £ 8.85 foot and £ 18.85 mounted. A similar increase is listed for painted figures.

I suppose the cost of metal, labour and rents in Mayfair they need this increase. I thought that a high $AUS would help me in my purchases becuse the £UK has dropped as well, so I think with this raise I'm back to sqaure one with the costs.

Good news is that the French Carabiniers Toy Soldiers Set 744 are 10% reduced this month, so maybe I'll get them?

regards,
John

Hello John,

Thanks very much for the update of the Tradition of London website.

I have been waiting for the Camel Corps set to appear.

The price for 3 mounted Camel Corps figures painted seems fair.

Best Wishes, Raymond.:)
