Hello guys I have had to change my plans for collecting.I will try to only get maybe one or two pieces a year so I will have to pick them wisely.Haven said this I picked up on Friday a M5 tractor Two Luftwaffe figures Two Scarcens and Two big red one figures. And Six weeks ago I got the Me263 komet as well. But Sticking to this plan I have is easier than I thought it would be.And then the new WW1 arti sets comming next month what can a guy do.Doing my maths I have only one set left to collect for this year and can see Five or Six things I want without the new realeases coming every month. What can I do guys .How many of you out there have the same problem as I.It's all Andy's bloody fault why can't he make crappy soldiers so I would not have to buy them.Damm you Andy and damm K&C for putting me through all of this.Simmo. :D:D:D

I agree with the part "Damm Andy etc.":)..i have the same problem, i pray that the new sets coming every month will be a disappointment cause i wanna buy all the 8th army figures and the FOB little scenes..but i think my plan too will be disrupted.

I can understand the problem here,we have such a choice of excellent products so what do you throw your bucks at?.I have found the only way it works for me is to try and strike a balance and buy some old or retiring stuff and buy some newer releases. At the moement i'm working on retired items, but come summer if we get some D Day releases i'll be after those. For me it comes down to this, long ago i had to give up on the idea of buying everything and just buy stuff i REALLY wanted, not easy to decide but somehow it works.:)

I find that no plan works - because I always buy everything ! :p

Well I understand your problem but not your math. You said you were going to limit yourself to a max of 2 pieces but you have already bought 8 and you have 1 left? With math like that you are needed in Washington now mate, you could make the new budget look good.:D What did I miss?

Of course, most of us (apparently Ron excluded) have this issue; of course for me it is for 1st Legion and not for K&C but it is a problem nonetheless less. It is nice to have such problems; a reason to praise our favorite producers, not to scorn them.:D:cool:

All plans fail on first contact with the enemy!

Buy and be ****ed.....so long as Mrs Evzone doesn't see the bills and Mr Mastercard is happy so am I.

World War 1 next stop for me. Got a Mons 1914 set-up organised in my head, just need the figures and the money.

Buy what you can afford, don't get into credit debt in these difficult economic times. You can enjoy a few pieces just as much as a cabinet full and a whopping credit card bill at the end of the month.

I really liked the Russian Samurai figures but at $100+ each and $350+ for mounted they were really pricey. I bought a couple a year, enjoyed them and now have a very nice display.

No bills at the end of the month is also something to enjoy!:D:)

You know me always watching out for the "boys":D

Speaking of other hobbies:D I was out with the wife yesterday and I picked up a couple of new cabinets, one for the wife's milk glass......and one for the
den.:D

Also got to take a nice cruise in the SSR, blew off one mud hed driving down the street while he was eating something out of a tray with a fork.

With 390 HP the SSR really hauls......wife is still in shock.:D

I have changed my collecting plans many times over the years. For example, when I decided to mainly collect 1/30 scale I intended to concentrate on WWII German vehicles as that was what most manufactures were making.

However in recent times K & C have brought out some really good allied tanks and wheeled vehicles that I was pleased to add to my collection. So Simmo, don't ask me because I can't even stick to my own plans  :D

Simmo,
Don't forget to hold some reserve capacity for the Lighthorse Beersheba, Aussies in Gallipoli, Kokoda, and Long Tan stuff that Andy told me is coming out in June. He says he is bored with WWII Americans and Germans as they don't sell and is going to do only ANZACS for the next three months :D:D:D:D
Oh yes and the Aussie Desert Rats drinking at a table that will be able to go with the Bergof building.
Regards
Brett
