Good news. Heard that Conte Zulu Sets 005/008/009/010 and 011 are finally on their way ( to the USA that is).

So the bad news is us over here on this side of the pond still have a while to wait.

I'm sure Winston these gems will be on the way across the pond shortly after their arrival here in the states an you'll find them well worth the wait..........The Lt.

What is the time frame on these outstanding sets? I did not see anything on the website. Is there any news about what other gems Richard Conte has in the pipeline for the AZW.

Damian according to info provided by RC on his web site he's expecting to start filling pre orders later this month provided there's no hang ups with shipping or Customs. I know he's got plans for additional sets in the series but no knowledge of when. I'm sure it depends on how quickly the factory finishes up with what sets he's currently got scheduled and planned for an when they're schedule to be completed. Martyn they are great sets an I know those who'll be adding them to their collections will be very pleased an happy with them..........Joe

Seems as if the wait is nearly over ( a matter of a 3 weeks in fact).

Lt., I know you collect many/all of the available zulu sets from different manufacturers. I was just wondering what you think of the color of the pith helmets from Conte. Some are much whiter and I'm sure the would have darkened with use but what do you think of it?

I like the way they've been done by Conte an they're more realistic than the solid tan color. In the attached photo featuring the Foreign Service Helmet worn you'll note it's stated that they were stained by tea or other substance being poured over them an not dyed therefore the colors of Conte's Service Helmets would tend to be more accurate in MHO Captain.
