"Peter Shaw kindly posted these pictures to me of a diorama he is currently working on, its a 1/30 scale German Railroad somewhere in Europe during WW2.
Peters professionalism and dedication to the hobby is simply amazing and I thought it would be appropriate to show these pictures on TF
so that everybody can appreciate what how he brings his collection to life."

He got a nice v2 diorama as well which he made a lot of the stuff to go with it he was telling me the other month

Yes I have seen his 1/6th diorama's for a number of years, was not aware he was doing 1/30th as well. For a moment I thought it was your train layout Wayne as I know you are into trains, but even you would be tested bringing a whole railway yard to life like this. Really like the armoured train and the camo which also extends to the mortar gun. Lots of food for thought here, thanks for posting, cheers, Robin.

THAT is a RLW Depot....Awsume....Reminds me of the Blue's Bros in the shopping Mall ..."This place has got Everything"...thanks for posting the pictures... Cheers TomBTomB

It's a fantastic display of talented work! Really awesome! Does anyone know where that armored train comes from?

Nice work!

I think that museums greatly under use dioramas. Ones such as this, well researched, authentic and welll executed "bring to life" in three dimensions things that can not be adequately portrayed by single item exhibits, small photographs, narratives etc.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool{sm4} That's all I could think to say when I saw those photos . . . that is some incredible piece of work, and I also love the armored train.

You are so correct...this type of diorama could never be described in words...a complete, functioning Wartime railway Depot.. ....armored train..flak guns.. 88's ..tanks...flat-tops..locomotives...even horse's,,,troops...warehouse's.....etc....mere words that have very vague or no meaning to most people ......this diorama is certainly the "A picture is worth a thousand words " ......Battle Dio's look great, but in MHO...they do certainly look like the real thing...but have very little or no illusion of movement...a scene frozen in time......sure this is a static diorama....but ....you get the impression everything is waiting to move and is gonna move.....AWSUME.......cheers Tomb
