Is anyone going to be getting this or has anybody seen one in person?
From the pictures it looks pretty good to me. Price is pretty steep around the $70 mark, though i have seen it cheaper.

I'm definitely going to get one though. The Dragon Armor 1st issues usually are good collectibles.

That Dragon model looks neat. Not sure if it is a plastic model from their kit line or is it a diecast pre-finished model? Leadmen

Pre-ordered from Battle Rhino for $55 but I have not received it yet. I have to agree with you Easy, the Dragon first runs are usually very collectable. Look at the value of the first two 1/72 Tanks from their die-cast line(Winter and Summer Tigers). They sell for ten fold what they sold for originally.

As far as i know this model is all die cast. You would certainly expect it to be for the price.

Yeah Fully Automatic i have the Summer Tiger and it's a real classic piece.

I've ordered this new one from Monkey Depot. I forgot to look at Battle Rhino which is $5 cheaper.

I have a few of the 1/72 tanks but did not know they were doing 1/35 scale! Yes, I would buy a couple of first issues. I've bought from Monkey depot before.

It certainly is diecast and the detail is terrific - even better than the 1/35 Minichamps diecast tanks that have been the market standard for several years.

I recieved your package today. Great kits.

Thanks

Alex: Glad package arrived ok- thanks for letting me know. Is that place in the thread for Dragon 1/35 metal tanks in the US. Never knew they made them. Leadmen

Yes, they are in the US. They just started making them in 1/35 scale. I have a few in 1/72 scale and the first issue goes for $150 - $200 which original retail went for $16.

I have some Dragon diecast but I don't remember what the early tanks were that are valuable? They only been out a few years and seems to be plenty of them at shows? Leadmen--1/72 diecast

I bought my first one as I visited Mich Toy Soldier on the way back from Canada to the Detroit airport. It had to be three or four years ago. I just happen to see them there.I should have bought the other two 001's but once again missed the boat. The price is still on the box at $9.99 Wittman Winter Tiger. I think I have approx 50 or so in my curio. The new Stug's are being released now along with captured T-34's with German markings and Hummel's and Nashorns. Some of the older released tanks seem to contain more die-cast than the newer releases. The Elefant's and Ferninand's carry some weight though. The prices have started to rise of course but I still think they are worth it for the detailing.
I talked with Luis today from Battle Rhino. My 1/35 Tiger is reserved and should be here in two weeks. Nashorn and Hummel are on the way also.

Thanks for info on DML tanks. Now I will order that Tiger but have to get out brushes and assemble some Dragon tank rider figures- more work-seems it never ends- going off deep end with new diecast tanks. I guess I belong in the addicted "Hall of Fame" too. Leadmen (john)

I got my Dragon Afrika Korp Tiger and it is a beauty. Interior is finished and I am very pleased with it. Only wish it was 1/32 scale. I ordered their second tank-short barrel Mark lv. Hope it is same quality as their Tiger. I also got some 1/72 Armor diecast. They are neat also. Hope they don't come out with one every month- will have to get a mortage. Leadmen

My new Tiger arrived yesterday.

Very nice model. Very well detailed. All hatches open. It's the first model in this sort of scale i've seen that has a detailed interior. It really adds that bit extra to the finished effect.

It does contain a lot more plastic than i expected though. It seems only the base is metal the rest is plastic. It's possible that the FOV version contains more metal. The Minichamps version is all metal.

The tracks don't move. Quite disappointed by that.

Overall i give it the thumbs up and would be interested in future releases of different vehicles. I do question why it's so expensive though.

According to reports on another forum, dealers have had their shipments cut of Tiger 61001 . Pretty soon it's going to be sold out. If you are thinking of getting one now's the time.

I had one on pre-order but finally found out yesterday (and only by contacting the company that I pre-orderd from) that they were not going to fill all the pre-orders. I was out of luck.:( Dragon has drastically reduced numbers on this one and according to multiple dealers that I talked to yesterday, "what they got is it!" I finally snagged one but the prices are already rising at any dealers who have any left. Its going to be like the very first Dragon 1/72 60001. Retail price on the one I have was $10.95. They are like $100 on ebay now. Craziness!!! On the positive side I was able to buy off of e-bay the 5 Dragon tank crew in the same scale as this new Tiger for original price. E-bay still has some deals out there;)

I got a memo from Dragon today that they will be shiping my 1/35 Mark IV with short barrel in three weeks. I guess this will be their next one after the Tiger. They say limited stocks. #CHC6297- PZ.IV Ausf.B surface hardened Armor Plate. John

I'm glad you found out in time to be able to get one. It looks very much like this Tiger could soon break the $100 mark once it sells out.

It's really grown on me since i first received it. The detail is amazing and the packaging adds that extra touch of quality.

Is the Panzer IV you are talking about a model kit? I don't think Dragon have announced what their next pre built 1/35 Dragon Armor tank will be.

Yeah that was the same question I was wondering in regards as to if this Panzer is a model kit or is like the Tiger. John did you get the Tiger? Can I ask who you order your Dragon from?Mich toy is in your neck of the woods.

I ordered my PZ. IV from Dragon USA. I put web site on earlier post here. I understand it is die cast- hope I am not wrong. I looked at the kit number of the plastic release coming up soon and it is different number. This one is listed for about $50.00. I hope it is like the Tiger. Really don't feel like doing a kit unless I have to. Don't quote me till I see what comes. John
