The top 10 will be in 60mm; while the lower 10 will be in 54mm.
Some periods will be limited in scope (no. of sets) while others can be extensive.
The right column above are the anchor armies already produced or in production.
Those periods in red have some sets already being prepared.
For instance, the 1812 Scott’ brigade sets in roundabout jackets will have option sets for the Alamo and also suitable for the afghan and opium wars. This set is in the production queue. There will be horse-foot-guns.
Will consider starting with the Egyptians for the Biblical period based on your feedback, instead of the Hebrews.
I also agree that the Egyptians are more well-known and popular. They are always in the plan and only a matter of which to do first.
The Egyptian army is much more complex and will have many sets (Chariots, Nubians, Sherdens, etc,.) and thus will take a longer period to cover thus delaying the Hebrews to a much later date.
By contrast, the Hebrew and Philistine armies can be covered like the Celts and Germans in just a few sets and be done.
The Biblical Hebrews will also be relevant for the Jewish Rebellion against the Romans, and as auxiliaries for the Persians and Seleucids.
For the Greeks, we are gradually expanding into the Hellenistic period with Syracusan-Italian and Successor phalangites. We will then move on to cover the Carthaginians and Republican Romans.
There will be a 60mm version for the Dark Ages.
The Medieval period will expand into Islamic Arabs and Turks and then Mongol-Tartars, Song Chinese and Japanese.
The 18th Century period is waiting in the wings, starting with the Marlburian Wars. This will also cover Jacobite Scots and Early American Indians with bow and arrows.
Napoleonic period will eventually cover the Russian-Leipzig campaigns, and the peninsular war. The Imperial Guard sets are in-progress. Will send you something later on this.
There will be some AMR series extension into the Alamo.
American Civil War range still have various gaps: Command, irregulars, etc. one of the Zouave toolings seems to be misplaced and cannot be located. May have to re-do.
As always, once we dismantle a toolings, we will take the opportunity to enhance the set with some improvements here and there.
The Colonial Wars will be enhanced with a couple of supplementary sets: Zulu at the Charge! and a British Command set. We are also considering a voortrekker set to match the Zulus.
We will eventually start the Boxer Rebellion series.
I will be 60 years old this year; I expect to be able to stay the course for another 15 – 20 years; baring unforeseen circumstances.
Will see how much we can cover.
Of course, if the cashflow permits, we can double our rate of output.
Hope the above is of some interest to you and your readers.
Cheers,
scott
