All things considered there is not much of a difference between Hachette/KC and KC. The Hachette/FFL can be had for less than $15. For the money you cannot be the Hachette/FFL figure.

The poses seem similar but I agree with Gideon.

I think the Legionaires are a good idea from K & C. We've had Australians, Kiwis and Indians in this range and now we get Frenchmen, who could be used in a scene defending the Bir Hakeim box during the Battle of Gazala.

Nice figures and a good change but, is it just me but, as soon as I saw them I thought of the Laural and Hardy film when they joined the legion.

Bir Hakeim? Is that anywhere near Ft. Zinderneuf? I don't think Rommel ever took Zinderneuf. -- Al

Wayne,

seeing they are made by the same company, I'm sure that Andy has decided to reuse the same pose.

You can see the same thing with the Del Drado Napoleonic range of foot and mounted figures too, and maybe other makers figures that are mabe by K&C.

I think a lot of the Hachette have great potential for K&C to re-introduce, this FL is one example.

I would like to see some napoleonic generals in the future

Wayne,

got a another couple here:

And this guy from the Del prado men At Arms is a 'dead ringer' for AK11

Who knows any more ????

I think the KCS series were also taken from another range K&C produced.

The FL figure is not a similar pose. It's the same figure period. The paint job is cleaner on the K&C version but that's all.

Interesting to see the price difference on basically the same figure.

Look at the 8th Army Legionnary's "Cheche" (scarf), in the Hachette figure it is inside the jacket and in the K&C it's outside , i don't have the figures, by the way i appreciate the details on the Hachette figure particularly the holes in the shoulder belt, something that in K&C figure is not present at least judging by the picture(by the way it is a particular present in other figures by K&C, notably the beautiful BBA029 , but there is in the rifle belt)..

About the matter you can refer to page 11 of K&C Collector Magazine. Here you may find the figures produced for some Hachette and Del Prado part work series. Among these there is the Foreign Legion collection.
Concerning FL in my opinion K&C made the first issues only, from fifteen to twenty I don't remember, the better in the series. After these the figures got worse. Always IMO the best miniature is the skier (n.8 in the page enclosed), very well done!

Hi Carlo, i believe you can count on almost the first 29 releases after that you can see the rather lame
Caporal de la C.ie Indochinoise ( http://www.mickyvcybershop.co.uk/ou...arachutiste-agrave-Dien-bien-Phu-en-1954.html) it's gloss, badly sculpted and has a strange rifle..
...but maybe Andy could enlighten us on the matter..i'm talking about them in another thread(King & Country and Hachette figures)..my favourites are n°1, 2, 4 and 8.I love the Indochina war and the Dien Bien Phu epic..hope some day Andy will return on the theme..
