New FOV 1/32 (4 Viewers)

I think some of your Russian pieces are Ogenok kits, is that correct? Namely the IS-3 and parts for the SU-152. I have used these myself to make my 1/32 IS-2

As a matter of fact, you have done quite a few similar customs to ones that I have done in the past. I won't post anymore here, for I am not thread hijacker, but if you would like me to I can post pictures to compare. I used to have a thread here I could link, but webshots went kaput and I have not re-hosted the images.

Hi Kevin.

I was wondering if you could let me know where from did you get the IS-2 kit-set or at least what is the company name who does it.

Thanks.
Serge.

Serge,

Well, it is actually two kits from the Russian Ogenok series that I kit-bashed into one tank. I am pretty sure you are familiar with the Ogenok kits, the tan KV-1 on your ebay listings had the tracks from one yes?

To make the IS-2 (relatively easily) you have to acquire two of those Ogenok kits, the ISU-122 and the KV-85. The ISU-122 will be used for the hull and gun tube, while the KV-85 is for the turret. There is some scratch-building involved to mate the turret and gun and the entire front-upper hull needs to be scratch-built, and depending on the type of IS-2 you'd want you can either do the stepped or sloped hull, or the smaller or larger gun manlet. I chose the early variant. Here is a picture before I painted it to give you an idea of what was kit and what was scratch-built.

Hi Kevin.
I think it is a good idea. Have you ever done a ISU-152 or KV-14. Would be awesome to see the pics of them.

I nearly finished the KV-14 so we could compare them if you don’t mind.

Regards.
Serge

I’ve been asked a few times how do I do my tanks.
It is easy just cut away from an old tank what you don’t need and then make a new tank instead.

Very nice Tank. Is that a custom?

I've always liked FoV. They seem to be the only company still offering assembled and pre-painted 1/32 scale vehicles.
I'd love to see them delve into the N. African campaign.
