Nice sculpt, they always look good at this stage. Can anyone explain what he is doing with his rifle? Never seen a combatant hold a rifle like that.

The figure is in the classic "Charge Your Bayonet Breast High" 2nd Position. The forward thrust would be "Push Your Bayonet". This position of the bayonet was still in use at the beginning of the French Indian War, but its value is best when use in masse, shoulder to shoulder and is defensive in nature. By the end of the French and Indian War, the more recognizable "offensive" Prussian hip thrust position was adopted especially in North America, James Wolfe.
