New HIRIART Delivery (2 Viewers)

Mike ,

That is a very nice set of WW2 British infantry...

Joe

Joe,

Thanks, it is neat. FYI: I actually ordered two sets, one for Julian and the other for re-sale. If you are interested please let me know, because it will probably be scarfed up Saturday when I take the sets from this order to Bob Walker's house.

This is Set 1232 BATTLE FOR ENGLAND WITH GOERING. Actually, I received three of these sets one for Fred, one for Tom, and one for me. The three warbirds are better in person than the photos would indicate. Marc (beaufighter) also has this set.

Methinks you're right, but I am not going to stop now at this point in my life.

Mike ,

Ok , i am going to ask a stupid question...Is there a trick or special way to get the figures out of the box easily ?

Joe,

I use sissors with a pointy tip to cut the threads. Don't use your daughter's sissors. A couple of snips and the figure you are removing and his neighbors start to come loose from the tie card making it easier to cut the strings.

Joe,

Glad you like the CD. Sometimes I put it on slide show and it puts me to sleep. No, not yet. I will email Hiriart tomorrow re the current shipment and I'll ask them. I was hoping that there would be a photo of it on the new CD they sent me, but it wasn't there.

The 1914 A-H Hussars are very colorful. Their uniforms are very similar to some of the French cavalry uniforms of the same era. Visibility must have been important to them.:rolleyes2: Tradition to old style uniforms sure cost a lot of casualties in 1914. -- Al

They are very colorful. In fact, they look, to me, that they would be right at home during the Napoleonic Wars of 100 years earlier. Those colorful 1914 uniforms quickly gave way, as you know, to less visable, more practical uniforms .

This set is for Randy from Hiriart's separate Spanish Civil War catalog: ES02 TIRADORES DE IFNI SAHARA. When I ordered this set for my collection a couple of years ago, I got it with three extra men marching. Note the interesting Moroccan flag for this unit and the three man Hotchkiss machine gun section.
