New LAH-just done from K&C, kronprinz-toysoldiers and Black hawk
new Romans-done from K&C, annonced from FL, just done from kronprinz-toysoldiers
new carabiniers - done from FL
new Wittmann Tiger ? done from K&C and even from TCS !
(scots grey, Panzer IV AK and much more, always just done from other producer before)

Am I the only one, who is dissapointed regarding the TCS new releases ???
In my opinion it is boring to bring out just always the same things !

In my eyes, TCS is very strong, when they make realy something new: for example the Lichterfelde barracks are wonderful or the CS0348 and 352 (Sdkfz 251/C with Jumpers, who are in very realistik poses ).

So please bring something NEW, not always the same, even if it should be improved (Wittmann)...

Certain people are brand loyal or simply like a particular company- I don't see anything wrong with that.

I singled out the points you made above of the lines I am particularly interested in:

Romans- I am planning on buying a bulk of my new Romans from CS. While FL looks beautiful and I will pick from them as well, the bulk will be TCS because I love everything he has done with these sets. KC did Romans and they were half decent and I own several but given the secondary market craze, they went from $21/each to $45+ each which puts them in the FL price range- out of my leagues. Plus, given that they are retired, the selection isn't as readily available as with new stock.

WW2 Germans- 88 and Wittman Tiger- I passed on KC's 88 twice before- Brian is giving me a great opportunity, at my price level, that I can correct a couple collecting errors I made in the past. The Wittman Tiger- please see points regarding KC Romans above- plus, the KC one was a tad small.

What about the Panzer IV in Normandy colors?? No one touched that for years.

Nothing wrong with what TCS is doing at all. I enthusiastically support it. I plan on spending the bulk of my money over the next few years on TCS figures. I enjoy and support them immensely.

I think we must remember that it is a business first. The company must make money to survive. So, they release items that are projected to sell. I'm sure they use market data or feedback from dealers to make these predictions.

I see CS as innovative not boring and, I would certainly point out that I am not one of these people who are brand loyal.

Do you mean doing things that others are not doing?? I cannot remember when a late war wittman tiger was done correctly so, thats new. Romans are brand new to CS the iconic 88mm gun is in a different variant in terms of add on's for the collector and, we are also about to see a new M8

New LAH releases including a band coming soon and all that Nap stuff!! and were only half way through the year

What new stuff would you like from CS???

New ideas would be great..I understand all too well that this is a business but how many German tanks can possibly be considered "new releases"? I have worn myself down asking anyone to make some Pacific Theater figures, particularly US Marines and Japanese fighters..These should be low cost enough, and since CS makes limited sets of almost anything they do, they cannot possibly go bankrupt..They could make up any dollar loss by coming out with more German vehicles, LAH or fighting soldiers at any time. The Celts and Romans look great but as someone said, so many other manufacturers are coming out with some at the same time..I've given up on K&C coming out with anything other than WW2 German..

I gave two examples, what I like from CS: buildings and at least figures with realistic and dynamic poses. And yes, please things, that others not doing:
88 guns I have enough, LAH band I have from K&C - if Berlin 1938, why always SS and LAH ? Why not: BDM girls, SA, Reichsarbeitsdienst, NSAK/NSKK...there are so much possibilities.
If Naps, why again 92nd Highlanders and scots grey and carabiniers and not something else.
Well it is business, yes, but are there realy so much collectors, who buy a second or third Wittmann Tiger and a second LAH band ??? The market will decide, I just told my wishes and my opinion as a collector.

No complaints from here about what CS is doing. They are doing the best armor at the best price point and they are doing Tigers, which I love. I would like to see some ACW Confederates from the Western Army of Tennessee, such as Cleburne's Division with it's Hardee pattern flags or Cockrell's Missouri Brigade. These are figures that haven't been done. -- Al

At least this Wittman Tiger has Zimmeritt ! {sm3}

WWII Germans are safe to say a very strong seller. This being the case all of the top makers in the market will continue to produce them until collectors stop buying them.
It doesn't look like anytime soon collectors will stop buying these releases. Good point already made though as there is still 6 months remaining for the year.
A lot of releases still to come. Hopefully your wish list will soon be filled !!! :smile2:

I would like to see TCS make Russian T34 tank {sm3} and Russian figures in action poses. We desperately need them.

CS has been my favorite for quite a while now. My collection of CS far outnumbers my collection of K&C. My "Rebel Yell" charge keeps gaining new recruits every time they come out with charging Rebs. Those would certainly be welcome. WW2 Pacific Theater would certainly add new dimensions to collectors and fans of TCS. That's what i would LOVE to see. I can't blame anyone for making what the competition is making, better and cheaper, too!!

Happy with the way things have gone from day one but, Samurai

I think that Brian has been extremely innovative. He has come out with options and ideas that no one has done. The jumpers being the best example. The blown track option another. Certainly the number of options has been a great selling point as well. One other point is Brian listens to our feedback and makes changes when appropriate.

I do not think that Brian has run out of new ideas. I think he has barely scratched the surface. I look forward to seeing what Brian comes up with next. Maybe one of us will help him on that one. Who knows. There will be more coming out.

I look at the production of WWII German Armor as a means to produce other lines. I would like to see a redux on the 222 or a Puma with radio gear.

I love the innovation Brian and CS have brought collectors. I feel like they remember what it was like to sit back and think "wouldn't it be cool if someone made something like this?" They went out and did it. They have gone outside the box - producing very animated poses in jumpers, horse riders, and other figures, and doing zouaves for the Civil War when no one else was. Plus, the quality is outstanding. I buy lots of other manufacturers as well, but I have tons of CS stuff and plan on lots more.
