New lines or favorite lines in 2012 (3 Viewers)

OK, I've got to save up for the released of the DAK motorcycle and crew, Gen. Cornwallis, and the 22nd Regt. of Foot. Some 8th Army would be nice to go with the DAK line. I'd really love WWI Austrians vs Russians, but I don't need another line to lust over.

.....Gen. Cornwallis, and the 22nd Regt. of Foot.

I'm totally with you guys on these new AWI releases. Can't wait for the preorder!

I thought I would chime in here briefly to ask you all to please be patient. Everything is progressing quite well and, as can hopefully be seen by how many different figures we've released lately, our productions are running along smoothly and on schedule. In the past we feel that we have announced our new ranges too far in advance of actual figure availability and we'd like to shorten up that cycle a bit by announcing much closer to when you can actually purchase and receive the figures. We promised four new ranges in 2012 and we will absolutely deliver four new ranges this year. However, that doesn't mean it will be one every 3 months simply because we're doing 4 ranges and there are 12 months in a year! On the contrary, all four will probably be announced and for sale over a single 3-4 month period of the year if that makes sense. So please keep your powder dry a bit longer, some amazing figures from a diverse set of historical periods are just on the horizon! ^&grin

Matt, I'm not sure where the 4 new ranges=1 reveal every 3 months idea came from. You never mentioned any schedule like that, so I'm unclear as to why that is the expectation. However, you have been gracious enough to let us know that a couple reveals are just around the corner. I think any grumbling just means you have some excited customers ready to see what you have up your sleeve.^&grin

On another note, Gebhard and I were just discussing the other day how much you have reduced the time from preorder to delivery. You promised to do that a while back and you have certainly delivered! Thanks for doing so.

Napoleonics, we got the two major Combatants (British-German), The Crusades( Christians, And Mamluks), Rome (Romans, And now Germanic Tribe's)(I know , Not necessarily the two Major Combatants, But Close enough??), Stalingrad (Russians, And Germans), AWI (British-Americans), American Civil War( Confederacy-Union), German Afrika Korp-???? (8thArmy, Of course, Maybe The U.S. After A Year, of release of the British). So one of the four new releases, has to be the 8th Army. So guys quit worrying about, When it is going to come out. Save Money, For When it does.It will be a Huge Selection (Specially, in The Napoleonics side. 15 To 25 Plus pieces, WOWWW):salute::

In Matt's latest post he says "Keep your powder dry"... Maybe a hint of a new line... "keep your powder dry and watch your top-knot"... Maybe Mountain Men and Plains Indians...

That is an interesting possibility and one I honestly had not thought of. My father, who teaches history here in the midwest U.S., would love it. I would have his birthday and other holidays covered for a while!^&grin

I'm finally set to go to San Antonio and the Alamo this September, after many years. Coincidently, so maybe "Keep your powder dry" is a new range of the "Alamo" I can dream can't I......

There is a famous painting of Frederick the Great telling a would be assassin whose rifle had misfired. this very same statement, "Keep your power dry". Could it be the armies of Frederick the Great?

We will just have to wait and see.

Matt’s riddle clues are always so darn hard to solve.

A couple days late in my responding, but thanks to Matt for the update, as a First Legion collector this is truly a great time, not only has the company now exspanded to brick and mortar stores throughout the U.S.A. but we're getting 4 new releases of different lines in 2012!!! I may or may not collect these upcoming releases but it is so neat to see the arrival of these new lines, as well as the continued work of all the current ranges seem to be getting better with each new release!!! First Legion really has brought new blood/older collectors(myself) a hobby that is truely enjoyable (not a knock on other co.) I guess you could say I enjoy First Legion as much as Rob enjoys k&C:)!! so looking foward to that First Legion email that the new range (ranges?) have arrived!! and as always keep up the great work Matt and First Legion...Sammy
