I know I've posted a picture of this LL E/S Command Set before, but as I anxiously await the arrival of a LL parcel I was curious to see if my photographic skills were still sorely lacking ..... unfortunately they are. :redface2::smile2:

Hi Buster,

Great set and picture....I have spoken to the Little Legion guys ( Peter ) a few times....the fact that he has added the maxim gun in various set ups is great, but the fact that he has not changed the rifles of the soldiers to be historically correct is a bummer at least for me, who likes historical accuracy...See the issue is that when the Maxims were depolyed the army had already converted to at least the LeeMetfords with the short magazine and not even the Indian Army was no longer using the Martin Henry single shot rifles......! Unless the Indian troops were some really thrid rate reserve unit....The Marin Henry´s are ok with the Little Legion Zulu and first Sudan expedition with the troops manning gatling guns...but once you add the Maxim everything turns upside down for the real historical accuracy... Given that I really enjoy Little Legion but Peter says he will not update his weaponary ...I had to stop collecting them now that I have moved past the Zulu phase and I am more focused on 1888 onwards campaigns....Food for thought for historical accuracy.
Cheers
