G’Day,

I thought I better bite the bullet and join the forum, as I have been lurking in the shadows recently, gaining a better understanding of my new addiction. I have only just very recently been introduced to K&C and it has rekindled a dormant passion. I have already enjoyed the “hunt” of gaining retired items and the anticipation of what is next.

My initial interest lies with WWII, particularly an emphasis on the later war years. I have been impressed by the Bulge series and this is probably the front runner for me at present. I am sure it won’t take much to branch out and I am already eyeing off the Crimea & Napoleonic’s.

I look forward to sharing the experience!

Cheers,

JRoo

Hi Jroo, it's good to have another Aussie on the forum. I am also a late WWII fan but I'm not into Nappy stuff ;)

Hi Jack,

welcome from another collector in the 'land down under'. Stick to one or two eras. that will keep you more than staisfied and don't stray...

By the way, what part of this 'great brown land' do you hail from?

Gentlemen , one and all, thanks for your warm welcome and words of wisdom re branching out. I certainly plan to curtain my enthusiasm and pursue only a couple of themes, with an emphasis on setting up the odd dio in the future.

John, Born in Sydney and now I live in Brisbane. Cheers JR

Welcome aboard Jackaroo! I second OD, Napoleonics is the way to go. No pressure...;)

Dear jackaroo:

Welcome! I have been collecting since late 1991. Since about 1999 i have purchased mainly king & country sets. They have been a good investment overall. I have sold a number of older retired k&c sets to people in australia. Cheers! "iron brigade" / gary in usa
