New Mounted Glossy's (2 Viewers)

They are very popular but you don't see them often. Dave managed to get one, I wouldn't mind one for my collection.

They tend to be on ebay around once every three months. They are usually $30+ dollars if you get one of a commonly made regiment. Craig- simply don't believe you ahev never heard of this figure{sm4}.

I like it a lot! I keep hoping to see this guy again in modern sculpting and paint. Maybe we'll get some cool new Lancers with the War along the Nile Series. Would be fun to have a bunch of Lancers at Omdurman!

Dave

Stop, stop! Are you TRYING to keep me up all night dreaming of figures?!?!?!?!?!?{sm4}^&grin

Hi Sandor figures of this era don't really do anything for me, I like the more real looking glossys from the 80's onwards, so I've never really paid much attention to stuff of this era on ebay or at the shows lol none of my reference books go back that far!

How about a range of mounted releases based around the working life of Horseguards in London.

How about a Farrier shoeing a horse much like the old home farm set 8713 from 1996?
A Trooper cleaning his kit for inspection?
A Trooper grooming his horse?
A Group of Troopers mucking out a horses stable maybe sorting out hay to eat?
Plus you can always have the normal Troopers mounting guard outside Horseguards aswell?

Just a few ideas lol

Sure I can't tempt you to change your mind Craig? Some of these Lancers are either re-cast old hollowcasts - or loosely based on them. ^&grin

(16th Lancers in front rank with their Colonel looking on - and a couple of 9th Lancers at the halt either side of the canon.)Would love to see Britains re-making these - johnnybach

That would make a great scene. Would be nice for Christmas releases like they did with the street scene.

I thought so Scott! The idea just popped into my head while flicking through the New Metal models book by Norman Joplin. When I was looking at the farrier set in the Home Farm section I thought that would be good done as a Horseguard!!!

That sounds great great! But it would have to be 1815....

1815 has fast become my favorite era in the Redcoats range! The uniforms of that time are excellent to look at so I'm all for more set & figure released around this time! The new Event figures look great this year as well, 92nd Gordon Highlanders from 1815! Maybe we will se a band for these eventually?
