New Napoleonic Infantry (1 Viewer)

First of all Welcome back Wellington. We have all missed you.

Now for my two cents. We are still missing Regular French Line Infantry. The fact is while I love the 45 Line Soldiers they are not Line Soldiers but are Grenadiers. So I really wish Andy would put some out.

The Coldstream Guards are fine by me and I look forward to them. I also have to mention Cuirassiers coming out this month look great.

I would really like to see the Vistula Legion come out next. Of course for you enemies of the Emperor you would hate to see these tough boys show up.

Viva le Emperor

Whilst I will support any expansion of Napoleonic troops, I must say that the French Guards are still very underrepresented in the context of Waterloo.

The commitment of the Imperial Guard was the last major act in Waterloo. I would love to see the Guards advance in more "fighting" poses ... charging & firing, much like that latest Grenadiers release.

Outside Waterlooo ... some Austrians :p & Russians :p :p would be very nice.

I thought the Guard battallions that advanced late in the day at Waterloo were pretty much all in line order and/or advancing in squares when they fell back under heavy fire near the British centre? This may make the need for action poses unnecessary? (at least for Waterloo anyway...although they would look great!!).

Can anyone confirm that any of the Guard actually made it to the British lines?

I'm also with OldGuard on releasing the Vistula Lancers.

I believe they did hence the " Now, Now is the time Maitland !" from Wellington.

Where is the French Love man ? How about some support for your old commrades in the field ?

Vive NAPOLEON !

Although I do plan on purchasing the French calvary that has just been released, I'm a little tired of calvary for the time being...I might hold off and buy a good selection of the new infantry coming out first. Anyone else feel the same???

WELLINGTON...:)

Hi Wellington

I can't believe this .. you tired of calvary, Napoleonic calvary. I believe that there just isn't enough Napoleonic in thr K&C line period. We need not only more infantry ... we need more artillery ( horsed & field), engineers, skirmishers, logistics, general staff etc etc

Beyond the French & the British ... there's the rest of Europe

Sorry Wellington ... we will take whatever Andy rolls out and more.

Regrads :)

DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THE NEW INFANTRY LOOK LIKE. I WILL PROBABLY BUY THEM ANYWAY.

Wellington:

The New French Heavy Calvary is really something - isnt it? :D

I agree with you that we do need some British or French Infantry Allies. Andy had tremendous success with the Polish Lancers - they went really fast and was by far the hot item in the KCS Series - so as any good businessman would say to himself - Hmmmmmmmmmm - More Countries in the Napoleonic Series huh? - Hmmmmmmmm !

And we all know how good of a businessman Andy is dont we. ;) (you think he has seen this post yet??) $$$$$$$ await a new line outside the French and English - its just sitting there - oh look more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I do have some news though - I have decided to run away with NA 124 - Cantiniere - as along as the wine holds out - love women in uniforms you know.

Andy did mention (somewhere in one of his recent posts) that there might be some non British/French releases at the end of the year, but probably not Prussians.

Jeff

In 1995 he did Dutch Lancers, dismounted, in gloss, with 5 Lancers and a Buglar in reverse facings.

Louis

It was the KCS Series that I was talking about 2005-2006 - you had a few French in your collection that I saw. Knowing you - you probally have the complete series....

Jeff

I think he may bring out the Polish in Infantry - he always tips his hand with a single figure before a big release...;)

At least I hope I am right in this case. :)

Is this the same sets that were mostly French and 1 Polish lancer? They were all very limited? One was also a British Officer?

Cheers

YES - YES

Thats the one :) I think Andy was impressed with the sale of the Polish Lancer and he has said in past postings that he would only do a Napoleonic Figures which was colorful - The Polish Uniforms were colorful ? and we know he dislikes the Prussians unifform - so .............
