New Regal Website (1 Viewer)

Yes they still make the civilians they just haven't got them on the new site yet. Talking to them the plan is to get all the ranges on to the new site and I know that the Romans and Celts are due to go on this week followed possibly by the North West Frontier range.

Thanks very much for the info much appreciated. I will keep my eye on the website.

Good news with the updated site. Look forward to seeing the excellent figures from all the series but especially the NWF.^&grin -- Al

This is great news. Regal/Soldiers of the World make some beautiful GLOSSIES. Very well painted.
This company and its figures need to be seen by more collectors. Hopefully this new website helps.

Scott, Do you know if Regal/SOW is planning to make mounted Normans in the near future for the 1066 line?
Thanks, - Ken

Very true. The few Regal glossies I own are beautiful. The gloss is very high and the painting very bright. I have some Crimean and NWF cavalry and am working on getting more. Regal is well worth the effort to get if glossies are your thing. -- Al

Hi Ken,
yes mounted Normans are on the way, I saw the horses on the paint bench the other day and Ian putting the finishing touches on the riders, so shouldn't be to far away.

Thanks Scott. That's great. 1066 should be a fun line to collect. Maybe they'll even get around to making Harald Hardada and some Norsemen for the Battle of Stamford Bridge. - Ken

Yeah, they did mention something about Norsemen, I'll ask them next time I see them.

Scott

Have they discontinued their civilian range as it doesn't appear to be listed?

I see the Civilians are now on the website and on sale too!

Talked to Ian the other night he said yes Norseman are to be added to the range later but they have to finish the mounted Normans first.

Got another set of NWF Indian Lancers that I collect. It was set #1A72A, The 39th King George's Own Central India Horse. There is an officer, bugler, and Sgt.with lance. It is a beautiful set and I have the B set of 3 lancers on the way to supplement it. The Regal/SOW figures are simply gorgeous and I am of the opinion that Regal is amongst the best of the glossy makers going today. The figures are sturdy and have always arrived undamaged from New Zealand. I found out that Regal offers WW1 French figures in the early war red and blue uniforms that I love so much and I will be ordering some of these in the future. There is a huge range of offerings that don't show on the website. -- Al

I could not agree more Al, Regal/SoW makes some beautiful gloss figures. I have a pretty decent collection of SoW Napoleonics and the painting quality is consistantly high with every set - clean lines, no sloppy edges, all top notch work.
I'm thinking of collecting their new Norman Conquest series - only wishing there was a online friendly dealer here in the States carrying the line. Sounds like you've had no problems ordering direct from NZ. - Ken

Second that. That is where I get mine from. ^&grin -- Al

I now know what happened to the camels and horses I made for Tony Ciccarello.^&grin

Martin

Thanks Michael and Al, I'll get in touch with Mike at Stockade Miniatures and see what they have. Their website is not very up to date, so I'll do it the ol' fashion way and use a phone. :wink2:

Bought most of my Napoleonic SoW from Tony Ciccarello when he had a shop just outside of West Point M.A. in NY.

Martin - You made some fine looking horses and camels. - Ken
