101st Airborne Screaming Eagles Mega Release

Now I really hate to be a spoiled sport. But before you’all think about openin’ your wallet for any other manufacturers 101st Airborne sets better think long and hard about paying too much for too little cause what we got brewed up for you down here in Texas is second to none. For the first time TCS releases our new Mega set style, the new sets are a dioramists dream come true and the 101st gets the first "Mega Treatment".

The bottom line is:TCS is about to lay a Screamin Eagles set of goodies on you that the industry has never seen the likes of yet. Thought I’d throw a few teaser images out there for you folks to see just to prepare ya. We’ll wait for a couple of weeks for a full pre-order intel package. Enjoy!

Tally Hoooo!

will this be a full glider or a part damaged one???
Mitch

yes it looks like a glider for sure.

Mitch's question is right on spot! Apparently it will take 2 weeks to find out! But seems that at least a glider tail will be ofered...^&grin Seriously, if TCS come out with a glider with the right pricing it will be a major hit. :wink2: There seems to be a jeep and an arty piece there too.

I'm still a wee bit partial to my First Legion Paras but must say I think Collectors Showcase has done a very good job with the likes of the few sets they have posted here, and if a glider full or partial is in the works with these new Paras I'm sure it will sell very well...Sammy

I am also partial to my First Legion U.S. paratroopers, but would love to see a "full size" glider that would make for an awesome diorama!

Alex :smile2:

OH BOY ! This looks like trouble......I have asked every manufacturer I have had the occasion to speak to for a glider....I hope this is it.

And there looks like a lot of other good stuff too. :salute:: {sm3} {sm4}

I am having a Horsa glider built for me at the moment, may have too cool it, unless this is going to be a tail section only. Very interesting all the same Brian. ^&cool, Robin.

Hello Brian/Collectors showcase, any more possible info on the glider?? damaged? full/partial??...Sammy

While you guys are getting hung up on the glider issue and im not a ww2 fan but doesn't Brian say everything in the pictures will be included in a single set so either way its going to be a rather expensive glider .

im glad i only get my releases once a year :)

Who hung up on the glider? Just people talking toy soldiers :salute::

Dear Collectors,

The assault operation phase of Overlord was dubbed Operation Neptune. American airborne divisions were delivered to France in two phases: by parachute on June 6 and by glider on June 7. A total of eight missions were relegated to Neptune: two parachute and six glider.

About two years ago I had a 1:32 mahogany Horsa glider built for me in The Philippines (Near Subic Bay). It is so big that they had to make it with detachable wings in order to ship it. The plane is great, has a super paint job, and I love it, however, you really need a special (and large) place to display it. Larry.

I also heard like others have that it is only going to be a rear portion of a glider released. Should still be a useful thing for use in diorama's
Mitch
