New Release:Chasseur a' Cheval (1 Viewer)

Chasseurs will be on the list! Does CS plan to do any British horse (hopefully other than Scotts Greys)? This lack of British cavalry is a huge marketing hole someone will fill one day.

Congrats on a super looking release. Looking fwd to May delivery.

Yes, the Musée de l'Armée is pretty cool. I believe this is the best collection and display of Napoléonic era uniforms and equipments you can find. I spent a lot of times there when living in Paris (for 10 years). Nearby (Invalides) is the resting place of Napoléon. Not too far and in front of the Musée d'Orsay (nice Impressionist museum BTW) is another museum directly related to Napoléon: The Musée de la Légion d'Honneur which was (and still) the most prestigious French décoration that was created by the Empereur himself. Please see: http://www.musee-legiondhonneur.fr/00_koama/visu_lh/index.asp?sid=320&lid=2 for more détails.

Let me know when you go to Paris and I can send you my favorite list of restauranta and things to do :)

It looks like June 14-18th is the dates for the Show - Please do send me any ideas on fun spots - having been to Paris I have found some - always looking for more ! :D

Just sent you a PM with the info :D

Very Very well done ! Excellent :) All the best Gebhard

Ron,

like you I was in paris in 2008, and Les Invalides Napoleonic rooms were closed.

I'm going to be in paris in July, after the London Toy Soldier Show, so do you, or any other know if the galleries will be open?

Thier website isn't much help, only saying it being renovated.

John

The Musée de l'Armée website indicates that they completed all the renovations and reopened the last rooms (from the 100 Days to Napoléon III) on March 20th. The Napoléon I rooms (up to 1814) and the ones before that era were reopened last year. Enjoy!

Thanks for the translation.....

I'll post some images if I get to see them....

I do remember seeing the old displays years ago on my first trip to Paris (1976) when I did have an interest in Military History, but wasn't into toy soldiers..... too many other distractions in Paris at that age :) :)

John

You are welcome! I will be in Paris this summer as well and will probably take my 2 boys to the museum since last time I went there was prior to the renovations.
Let me know if you need info on Paris, I can send you what I sent to Ron recently. Cheers.

Hi,

I have been reading this thread with interest and considering a purchase.

Can anyone be so kind as to post some photos of their Chasseur a' Cheval?

Thank you in advance.

Thanks Nicholas.

I have seen these pictures.

I am wondering if the real products are as good as the pictures. Some more photos will give me a better idea.

Appreciate if you or others can post some photos, if it is not too much trouble.

Best regards
